Are the South Korean captives in Afghanistan being celebrated as Christian martyrs? Though the concept of martyrdom has fallen out of favor in recent Christian history, most people acknowledge that the church is built on the blood of martyrs. Islamic martyrdom is alive and well. Is this a chance for Christians to return to an old tradition, against an old enemy?

got a used dodge 97 stratus. made noise right after we changed the oil. Told it had really thick oil in it and that was masking the problem. Continued to drive it because no one could tell us what the definate problem was. Check engine light came on and we went to auto zone and they checked why the light was on. Their machine said cylinders were misfiring. Now the noise is REALLY bad and a guy from our church says the rods blew the engine and we'll have to replace the entire engine. We took out a loan and paid full market value for this stupid car. We can't afford $2000+ for a new engine. What else can we do?!

i have a wolf hybrid and when she was 4 months old she had a really tan back not its almost black she is not 7 months old why did this happen here are pictures of her

Lets face facts here, the music industry today is as good as, if not better than it's been for many years (in the U.K at least i don't know about the U.S) Indie rock is thriving and is branching out into many exciting new styles (namely electro indie). Plus some of the old guard are kicking out some brilliant songs (Oasis and Manic Street Preachers being the Britsh ones and Foo fighters and RHCP for America)

Of the new bands Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Arcade Fire, Klaxons and Maximo Park are the big standouts for me.

But if we are honest, no bands today can compare to the likes of Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream or the Eagles.

My question is can just one band come around and bring us back to the good old days of Rock n' Roll, because if someone doesn't do it fast then i will be forced to shoulder the burden myself and form a revolutionary band to change the face of music.

She chooses to ignore them and has me send them to her voice mail - I've told her to write them a letter and tell them to stop harrassing her, but I have to route these calls. I guess it shouldn't bother me because its not my problem, but I have to answer all these calls with inquiries to when she'll be at work, does she work there at all, etc. Plus its tying up my phone line! Help. Thanks.

OK. So the earth is a perfect sphere and there are no issues with molten heat and such - this is all taken care of with very good insulation.

There is an open tube extending through the earth from the North Pole to the South Pole. Since the tube is through the axis of rotation - we can ignore any corriolis/centripital effects.

You drop an apple - or a billiard ball - into the tube - straight down so that it does not touch the sides - so we can dispense with any friction issues. And the tube is maintained at a vacuum - so we can dispense with any air resistance issues.

So, now that we have that down - we drop the ball into the tube - what happens? How does the ball behave as it falls toward the center of the earth, past the center of the earth, and beyond the center of the earth? How would it behave if we took air resistance into effect?

I am someone who gets anxiety easily. I will usualy just leave a party, because I am too scared to say the wrong thing. I try to NOT think, but it is harder done than said. Alcohol only helps a little. I have low self esteem..obviously. I go out as often as I can but can never enjoy myself.

last night my car was working just fine and this morning when I went to turn it on it would not start. The battery is good because all the lights turn on and my windows roll up & down. It makes the same noise it always does when it starts but it won't start it just makes that "er er er er" noise. What can I do?

I have a 2001 chevy tahoe, I just replaced the battery. Now the anti-theft system goes off every time I open the doors, sometimes it won't allow my truck to start, and I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery, and in doing that the truck starts on its own, without a key. What the hell is going on?
