Are there any real evil people in the world?

Evil people, people that should be destroyed for the good of everyone.

I ask this as I don't believe there is evil in the world. A criminal, ie peadophile, serial killer, has a twisted view on the world, and is merely following instincts and feelings, these feelings are turmoil in themselves. I see some people have answered with things like "yeah peado's they should be tortured!" Its this attitude which keeps these negative acts continuing in the world. Fact: Nearly all peadophiles were victims of abuse themselves. Round and round and round the not so merry go round goes.

I understand where you're coming from, but if we destroyed them, we wouldn't be much better.

Perhaps you should step outside of your front door occasionally, or even just watch the news.

The world is full of evil people. Full of hate, who do not give anyone else a second thought.

I think that they are purely a product of their upbringing/environment/education, and should not really be demonised for something that they have had no control over.

However, we live in a wealthy country, which proclaims decent values, yet ignores the desperate needs of it's own citizens.

Perhaps we, as a nation, should stand up and demand the life that we have been paying for all these years, and make the government listen to what we (the people) actually want.

I understand that you say people have twisted ideas or strong emotions but is it not evil to let them rule other your life to the detriment of others? Cetainly if you take a Utilitarian view of morality this is so. I know people criticise religion, but in most cases things such as abuse of others, killing etc would be condemened by religion to and therefore could be classed as "evil." I know that "absolute morality," is a controversial issue, but I think that some things are generally accepted to be evil and the people who partake in such activites are then considered evil. Of course with this definition if one changes their actions they would no longer be evil.

yes, and there are good people thats why the creator of mankind has promised the ultimate reward of eternal gardens for those who believe in the one true creator and do good righteous actions they will abide theirin forever, and He also warned those truly evil people who disbelieve in the creator and do all types of evil acts of the torment of the blazing fire which will burn the skins and then those skins will be replaced and then burned again. and in between these two types of people there are many in between so watch out and strive to be from the believers and doers of the righteous actions.
