Do we sometimes covet for an existence or a livelihood different from the ones we have? How happy are you with the life you are living now?

Well a question i just read sort of got me thinking. It was based on how much time a teenage girl should be allowed with a boyfriend, and whether kissing is ok etc.

The responses were mainly along the lines of 'a 13 year old girl should not be left alone with a boy'
'they should never be un-supervised'.

So my question is for the people who are ACTUALLY PARENTS.
Do you let your teenage daughter/son be alone with a member of the opposite sex? Keeping in mind that they are probably going to be around them at school or after school or things like that. Do people out there really think that their kids will not see somebody if they want to? And if you see your kid kissing somebody, do you speak to them about being responsible, or do you ban them from seeing each other?

I had perfect credit about one year ago. Then I had a roommate that basically stole all of my money and left me with a negative bank account. Because of this I was unable to pay my bills b/c my pay was directly deposited until i could stop it. I went to the police and filed a bad check claim (which covers only some of what she stole) and I just graduated college, and things are hard b/c i had terrible credit b/c everything snowballed so quick.
My question is...what, if anything, can i do to repair my terrible credit? My history was short so it went from exellent to bad extremely quickly...any advice would be so helpful, I don't know what to do right now.

Can I learn French by reading a French-English dictionary, and a book on fully conjugated french verbs and how to conjugate them? What other things should I use/do to learn French if this isn't enough?

If so does public education do a good job of preparing are youth for work and adulthood? It is hard to believe the great majority of kids getting out of high school don't know what compound interest is. I think public education is a miserable failure and our prisions reflect their performance. Your thoughts please.

My family says I need to find God, more specifically Jesus. But every time I find a representative of his, they try to convince me that science and facts are not factual. I worked as a geologist and paleo-engineer for years, and I got to dig up bones and teeth that were millions of years old. But my Christian friends, and family insist the world is no more than 6 thousand years old. They also insist that evolution is a sin, and untrue, even though my fossil evidence has proven it conclusively. My question is do I have to give up on scientific fact to find Jesus? Is there a switch that Christians can switch off in there minds to stop asking questions about there surroundings? Where do I have to go to get this switch installed?
Why won't Christians allow the books of the bible that actually document Christ's life into the Bible? I found several books written by people who actually witnessed Christ and his miracles, but their words are in the Apocrypha instead of the Bible, Why?

What is with this place? You can't actually say anything anymore...

All you need to do is say 1 thing which another may class as against one deity or another, and ppl start slamming with thumbs downs...

For instance, i got 5 thumbs downs for stating that someone asking why god thirsts for blood, was relating to the book of numbers...

Get a life for gods sake, people are allowed freedom of speech without whining bastards.

My old family friend just called my mom to tell her that her brother died! That's the 3rd brother to die in a year's time! (All 3 within months of each other...) This one she had a tense relationship with and was going to call him on his birthday (tomorrow) to try to make peace. Apparently he died in church of a massive heart attack in his friend's arms. He was complaining of chest pains but his doc gave him a clean bill of health. Why is that happening in her family? She's the only child left and her mother is in the nursing home because she suffered a stroke (10 yrs ago and she is still taking care of her). What do you think is going on?

they are a yellow color with black dots and i black diamon on its back they are REALLY big like the size of a small tomato sometimes i see ones that are bigger i get them evey year and normally i didnt mind them but when i went to open my BBQ there was a huge one and i almost die! i dont want a bunch of smushed spider guts every too and bug spray stuff doesnt work help?
