I am not refering to the garden variety edelweiss or the American version of the edelweiss plant. I am specifically refering to the wild edelweiss that grows only in some parts of the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 2,000 to 2,900. The Genus and Species name is: Leontopodium alpinum. I would like to know if this plant has thorns on the stem. I don't think you can really answer this question unless you have actually been to the Swiss alps and have seen an actual flower. I spoke to several Swiss residents and most said they have never seen one in their lifetime. By thorns I do not necessarily mean thorns as in rose thorns. I was told by some Swiss people that you can get pricked if you try to touch them. They diddn't know the English word for "thorns" and I would just like to know more about this really famous and beautiful flower. I don't think they were refering to it being illegal to pick the flower because we discussed that separately. I believe they were refering to actual thorns.

Do you go to Starbucks or any other coffee houses?
What do you like about Starbucks? Is it the convenience, the taste, the price, what is it.
When you go to a coffee house what do you want? A great cup of coffee, a great price, what?
Also when you go to a coffee house what else would you want sold there? Cookies, cake, what?
Also do you like how Starbucks sell coffee mugs etc.?

you cant say that the war is not going well and ask for changes, but when it comes to voting keep sticking to a failed policy!! Its always so easy to say yes to continuing a war when you are playing with house money (referring to soldier's lives who are not related to you). I am sure if any member of congress in favor of the war in Iraq had children their right now fighting, they would have a totally different view of war. this is why i am in favor of a drasft which treats ALL equally. then politicans and other in favor of war would have to actually sit down and think about their decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - Al Gore's son pleaded guilty Monday to possessing marijuana and other drugs, but a judge said the plea could be withdrawn and the charges dropped if he successfully completes a drug diversion program.

Authorities have said they found drugs in Al Gore III's car after the 24-year-old was pulled over on July 4 for going 100 mph in his Toyota Prius.

He pleaded guilty to two felony counts of drug possession, two misdemeanor counts of drug possession without a prescription, and one misdemeanor count of marijuana possession, the district attorney's office said.

Jaime Coulter, senior deputy district attorney, said Gore's sentencing will be continued until Feb. 7. If he has complied with all the conditions of the diversion program, the sentencing will be continued again for another year, with charges possibly being dropped in 2009.

"At that point, he will be able to withdraw his guilty plea as if he never entered it," Coulter said.
