As a woman that does this, I'm wondering what the public opinion is of this. My boyfriend isn't very fond of it during the day, but when I wear my dress-shorts he doesn't mind. My dad really doesn't like it, but my mom does.
So I'm wondering what you all think? I'd especially appreciate the male point of view.

An example of an outfit, in case you're wondering... would be something like I'm wearing right now... a pink halter top, somewhat short-shorts and a pair of leather 3" heels. With make-up and my hair in a clip.

And if you're wondering where I'm going, it's the vets office.

If that's your style, then wear it....never concern yourself with opinions, because many will come from jealousy. any way.

Hey! Misogynist Man Why don't you try wearing a short skirt and high heels then? Women CANNOT wear what they want. Especially if they are nurses or firefighters or police officers. They can wear the same as men in those jobs but conversely, men can wear the same as women in those jobs if they want to. Some cultures call for men to wear skirts. If they want to wear high heels and tight tops as well, so be it. Get off your high horse and start thinking of women (and men) as people not genders.

I would conclude that the woman wasn't very logical. What sort of person would want to go around in high heels while wearing an outfit that doesn't even call for it? I'd conclude that she cared more about fashion than common sense, and would walk right on by.

If it matters, I'm a gay man, so that makes me rather impartial.
To be honest, I always think "slutty." And trust me, I am far from being a prude. But it just strikes me as "white-trash," bordering on "prostitute."
Though I've never worn women's heels -- I have enough trouble wearing men's clothing -- I don't comprehend why women wear them. They look utterly uncomfortable. If I was short and wanted to add height, I think I'd just find a nice pair of 1970s disco platforms -- they'd at least be on the flat side.

I've done it, too. Not for just any occasion, though. Always for things like parties, night clubbing, or if I knew a picture was going to be taken. I'm honest enough to admit that I like turning men's heads. I don't consider myself to be a floozy or slutty. Others can think what they want.
I've also worn heels with swimsuits. I was in a couple of beauty contests.

I'm not a guy, but heels are my bestest friends. So I say go for it...... heels are great. The wedge heels look great with shorts. My personal fav. is stilletoes, but I don't think I would pair them with shorts. Whatever you feel comfortable in is the best for you.

I think women who wear shorts with high heels look totally slu**y. Unless the are wearing flip-flops with a low wedge heel.

I'd have to see the entire ensemble on the girl in question. Some things look good on certain people, and not on others. Depending on the person, though, I don't think it would look too bad.

I personally think it looks ridiculous, but that's just my opinion. If you like it and you are comfortable in such a get-up, then by all natural means -- have at it!! As long as you are happy sweetie, don't worry about what the rest of us idiots think.
