I find that atheists have tremendous perspective and that many times if they disagree with say Christians then that is perceived as 'hatred' when many atheists have good common sense. Haven't you considered that many atheists were once religious at one time and then made a decision that made sense to them. I find them very valuable on this forum. (Buddhist)

I'm a christian and I really enjoy listening to Joel Osteen on Cd or watching his tv program. When I was growing up, I had a love but also a fear of God, and Joel teaches how much God loves me, and I can now feel that love and my life has become better. I'm happier and good things are happening for me.

Just wondering why so many christians are down on him because he isn't preaching fire and brimstone and repent.

I think we all know we have to repent for our sins, but don't some of those scary preachers miss the point on how much he does love us?

I'm open to read your opinions. I realize in the last days there will be false prophets, so I don't want to be hypnotised by one but I truly don't feel like he is preaching a message that contradicts the Bible.

Do you? I'm open to your opinion

Robin

NY pension funds invest the pensioners' funds - pretty simple. About $3BN of these funds is invested in the entertainment industry (I'm hoping that includes conglomerates like GE because that's too much otherwise, but that's another topic).

Sharpton says the fund managers should not be allowed to invest the funds in, and should divest the pension funds of, stocks of entertainment companies that produce rap with objectionable lyrics.

The fund managers OWE A FIDUCIARY DUTY TO THE OWNERS OF THOSE FUNDS to try to maximize return and minimize risk.

They have no right to use those funds to try to affect social policy - - - even if you think gangsta rap is wrong, if stock in the company that produces and sells the CDs is determined by the fund managers to have the best risk/return profile for the funds invested, that stock is the asset they should buy.

'Sides - Buffalo - what would Rick James think?

What if you're right? What if he was just another nice guy? What if it's true they say the cross will only make a fool of you?
What if you start dig way down deeper than your simple-minded friends what if you find a thousand more unanswered questions down inside and that's all you find, and what if you pick apart the logic and begin to poke the holes what if the crown of thorns is no more than folklore that must be told and retold?
but what if your wrong? What if there's more? What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for? What will you do when you find out that you were wrong and say to yourself "what have I done"..... and then it may be to late.

We just got a Beta and the store said feed him 3 pellets a day, but the bottle says 6-8 twice a day. I'm scared to overfeed him. So far we've worked up to 8. Four in the morning, and 4 in the afternoon. Also, he's ready to breed and making a nest so we're wondering if he can still grow? How big do they get?

This country is getting messed up. The government pays the rich and taxes the poor, we don't have national health care(fyi I have talked to Canadians and Japanese and they told me wait times aren't that long they are just a tad longer than the US may be a week), start unjustifiable wars, our free speech is diminishing as we speak b/c of the patriot act and we stand and take it some even support it. The constitution clearly states that the US people have the right to overthrow the government and create a new and fair one if it gets out of hand so why don't people rise up and make a change? Not through violence but through protest and boycotts?

John 20:30 Many other signs also did Jesus in the sight of his disciples, which were not written in this book.

John 21:25
But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.

I Corinthians 11:2
Now I priase you, brethren, that in all things you are mindful of me: and keep my ordinances as I have delivered them to you.

2 Thess 2:14
Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.

2 Thess 3:6
And we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly, and not according to the tradition which they have received of us.

2 Timothy 1:13.14
Keep the good thing committed to they trust by the Holy Ghost, who dwelleth in us.
