I don't think so. I enjoy being alone, but I also have a social life. When I was younger, I was never home, so it's not like I'm missing anything. I guess I just enjoy being a homebody.

It does not make them anti-social, it makes them lonely......We are independent as human beings but nature has made us inter-depependent. Like you need to buy your food from someone or get this internet connection etc. Being in touch with other people will help us to expand ourselves in ways we will never really quite understand. So go out there every so often, chat a little to that cashier, or volunteer or compliment your co-worker. Try it for a month and see if you still prefer being alone.........

Not at all. It makes them a loner, or someone who happens to be deep in thought most of the time. A person that prefers to be alone can be a very outgoing person when they are with other people, and that is usually the case.

The term is "introverted", the different of an extrovert. Extroverts are social, have a extensive team of associates, and prefer to disclose to human beings approximately their problems, while introverts stay extra to themselves, have a smaller nearer team of associates (or could choose to be a finished lone wolf) and discover inner peace to remedy their problems. And the area approximately feeling socially drained is precise. If it seems you di % out as introverted, do no longer enable it provide up you from making connections with human beings once you may! Even thr maximum introverted individual desires convenience from associates and kinfolk each now and then.

I think anti-social is a different kind of thing: is someone that just cannot fit in any kind of social event or situation, that cannot socialize at all...and you might be a social person though you rather spend more time to by yourself....but this is just my opinion...

Not at all.
Read "Party of One: The Loner's Manifesto", by Anneli Rufus.
This book explains (and praises) people who prefer to be by themselves most of the time, even if they aren't "anti-social".

well, i'm not sure i would say that it makes a person anti-social. typically, anti-social people wants to be alone. although, it might make their anti-social tendencies worst if they continue to spend more time alone. does that make sense?
