What if you're right? What if he was just another nice guy? What if it's true they say the cross will only make a fool of you?
What if you start dig way down deeper than your simple-minded friends what if you find a thousand more unanswered questions down inside and that's all you find, and what if you pick apart the logic and begin to poke the holes what if the crown of thorns is no more than folklore that must be told and retold?
but what if your wrong? What if there's more? What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for? What will you do when you find out that you were wrong and say to yourself "what have I done"..... and then it may be to late.

heart: you are quick to jump into conclusions when you have not read this entire quesiton. As for other non believers you don't have to turn the quesiton around and if you don't have an honest answer then don't answer at all. It's mostly a quesiton to think about, Oh and when you have time listen to Nichole Nordeman called "what if"

Jesus was a mighty fine man. He is a historical figure So he did exists. He was a carpenter, a wine maker and afisherman. He talked about peace, love and forgiveness and had a following. He also developed enemies. Jesus very well was crucified but the rest can either be taken upon faith or taken as creating a myth around the man. That is up to the individual to decide. There is no wrong answer. We can all agree that Jesus was a cool man to be around.

'What if' questions are most certainly valid.
From a nihilist's perspective, no one will get an answer.
From a believer's perspective ALL will get an answer.
But being a nihilist or a believer won't change the ultimate answer.
The fly in the ointment with the nihilist's perspective is, wrong or right, they won't get the satisfaction of saying, "I told you so."
Unless you've NEVER been wrong about something you could have sworn was right, then asking a 'what if' question is perfectly valid from a believer's perspective.
While it's true that some are motivated to pose the question to win a prideful contest of ideas, It's equally true that others are motivated to pose the question because they love your soul, man!

What if .. you try NOT letting fear run your life? If there is a Jesus do you really think he wants you sitting around worrying about him all the time. Do you think your god would actually put you here for the purpose of trying to figure out if jesus was real or not??
It would seem like a collasal waste of time and energy and so much more, for a god to give us such complex and tremendous lives and opportunities and choices for the purpose of trying to figure out if some old stories are true. Besides, most christians think you can go say you are sorry to a little man at a little church and all your sins are forgiven (as if he's some sort of god too). If a man in a church can forgive your sins for you, then why wouldn't this god forgive you for not being sure about jesus? Seems a little backwards, eh?
Many humans are paralyzed by fear. They have difficulty maneuvering through life because there are so many difficult decisions to make and changes to face and it's just easier to be fearful and not change... not evolve. This kind of mindset is holding mankind back from being so much more than we are.... The mindset of human, thousands of years ago whom had no idea we would take their words as if they were law and not be able to think for ourselves in the way we are meant to. The mindset of a fairly primitive man. Why are we so desperate NOT to change?
There is nothing to fear, except fear itself.

To quote a line from the Steven Segal movie "Under Seige", "Your in great kim-chi buddy."
The consequences are too grave just on the surface. Are you aware why he came to earth as a man? To buy back us from the sin Adam sold us down the river for with his perfect life in exchange. He was the only one in history who could. It means we all die and stay that way forever.
It further means this old earth either gets blow up or rots under man's decay.

Lets add to that. What if Christ was the world's greatest con man? All of these are questions that have been asked many times and I really do understand what you are asking. But my faith tells me that I have nothing to worry about in the end. I believe that. I have to. If there is nothing after we pass on, then what is the point of all this? That would be very sad state of affairs if the end was just being thrown six feet under with nothing to hope for. Sad indeed......

It's a silly argument... If I am wrong the worst that can be said is that I spent my life behaving my self and doing good for the wrong reason.. no real damage there... however if you are wrong you forfeit eternity... it's a sucker bet, don't take it.

if you are not attracted to a religion, then don't participate. What if? I suppose you would have to discover a worthwhile interest or hobby.
