A lot of books talk about to stop worry consistantly, you first need to accept whatever the worse outcome might be and then do something to change the course of the outcome. Well, it's easy to read and understand that, but how do you actually do it?

I'm starting a business soon and am finding it very difficult to come up with a catchy name. I asked on here before and got a few ideas but met with my accountant yesterday and he said the name I'd chosen was no good! Basically, my business is an after-school tuition centre in Dublin - it gives extra classes to people who want to get good results in their exams in secondary school. In years to come I plan on branching out and offering morning classes to housewives/retirees etc. as well.

Now, my accountant came up with FACT - standing for Fingal (that's where my business will be located)....... and after that I can't seem to be able to come up with something for ACT - maybe Academic Centre for Tuition??? Doesn't sound great so if you can come up with something better I'd appreciate it. I'm really stuck guys and running out of time as I need to have business registered asap.

If anyone can help I'd be really grateful

Personally I think that he's both. Anyone who would use such a lame argument as the "crocoduck" (honestly I thought it was a bad joke when someone told me about it. My first reaction was to say "there is NO way that anyone could be that ignorant of science could there?" Sadly I was wrong) can't be firing on all cylinders.
But what I want to know is; what motivates people like him? Why would anyone want to steer others away from science and reality? And instead lead them down the primrose path to a world of make believe and fairy-tales?
Or is that the point? To give people false notions about the world around them? To say "god did it" certainly is simpler, but it's entirely false.

I made a boo-boo a few months ago where I added too much salt to my 29 gal tank. So I have been doing water changes without adding salt, to rid the tank of the excess. Now I am afraid there is very little salt in the tank. So I bought a hydrometer, and for the life of me I can't find one website that has any info other than saltwater. This is not brackish, just fresh. My fish seem happy as can be after I almost killed the poor babies.

I NEVER say "Under God" when I recite the pledge, but it is unconstitutional. When I was 15 I made some mistakes. I decided to change and meant it, but my mom was cruel, said she didn't trust me. She ended up agreeing I had changed and said she was proud of me, but I couldn't see her as a loving mon any more. I've never got over and today, 9 years later, a mom, graduated, I hardly talk to her. She had a problem and despite my extreme ressentment, I helped her. But now she broke her word about something serious involving money and she's not a teen. She apologized, pleaded with me to forgive. If shen hadn't been so cruel to me I'd forgive and forget, but, though my hubby doesn't agree, I'm about to do to her what she did to me. She was so cruel to me when I was a teen, so how come she asks for forgiveness and trust when she messes up much more seriously at age 50?

Ideally parents should teach their kids about sex but the sad truth is that many parents don't do their job. If these kids have high risk sex they can get pregnant with kids that the rest of us will have to pay for through our taxes in social services and later crime associated to poverty, incompetent parenting, and abscentee fathers. They could get a disease that requires medical attention that we again have to pay for as tax payers. Therefore does it not behoove us to offer comprehensive sex education in schools, including in addition to abstinence, birth control methods, and ways to prevent the contraction of veneral diseases?
