My husband and I started trying right after we got married. Nothing. We ended up trying for 2 years, charting, temps, watching for ovulation, etc. Nothing. After 2 years of frustration we actually hated having sex. I got tired of crying every month and we decided to stop trying and just have sex for FUN. A few months later I was pregnant. We have never "tried" again and I am on my fourth. I think that all the stress and pressure you put on yourself can have an adverse effect. So remember to just love each other and enjoy "doing it" because you love each other. Try not to let it become a chore or something you have to do. Good luck.

These may not be prescribed by a doctor, but here's a few things I was told to do and it worked twice!

Try sexual positions where the man is on top and your pelvic area is slanted for easy access for the sperm to swim towards the egg. After intercourse keep your hips up for 15 to 30 minutes, unless you are prone to UTI. Some say even doing the bicycle with your feet up in the air helps the sperm to get to the egg.

You may think sex everyday or a few times a day will help your odds, but too much sex can make your man's sperm, well, not as 'ready' for the journey.

Sperm can live for up to 3 days inside of you, so, plain out and simple, have sex a few days before your ovulation and a couple of days after and in between...your bound to wind up pregnant in no time!

Good luck!

Use your period a guide...If you menstrate on a regular basis then this should be easy...and having alot of sex isn't a good idea although it can be fun...it is best to only have sex no more than two or three times in the month you are trying to get pregnant in, if you have a target due date in mind. Have sex three weeks before and a week before your period and that should do it. Don't be let down if you don't get pregnant the first time you try this. My cousin and his wife had to try it three months in a row to get it right...its all about your bodies timing, so don't rush it... i am happy to say that my cousin's wife is 6 months along...This method really does work but you have to be patient...

There's one very important thing you need to know and that is when you ovulate. Find that out and don't stress over starting a family...if you stress it won't happen, don't think of it as 'planning' or that you HAVE to do it, just relax and enjoy every single moment you're having sex, it will happen faster than you think. I used to stress a lot over getting pregnant...to the point I thought I was not fertile, but the minute I stopped worrying about it and said to myself, oh well, I'm not fertile so why worry about it? BAM! GOT PREGNANT! I'm 8 weeks today :)

One major factor, DON'T get yourself so worked up and stressed over getting pregnant b/c it won't happen when your body is stressed.
My husband and I started trying 6 months before we got married (worried it might take awhile) but from all the stresses from the wedding it didn't happen til 2 months after the wedding when we finally said "okay, time to relax and not make such a fuss about getting pregnant" and BAM.. pregnant.
Good luck and have fun TTC :) its really the best part!

Bottom line, you get preggers when you are ovulating.

If your menstual cycles are normal... Have sex 10, 12, and 14 days from the day 1 of your period. Be sure to wait 48 hours between love sessions because that's how long it takes hubby's sperm count to be at its highest.

It took my hubby and I one month to conceive by this method. I got this advice from my doctor and found it on www.ivillage.com as well.

Good Luck!

Here's my advice. Try not to think of it as "planning". That is, make the lovemaking very passionate and try not to think of it as being there to conceive a child. This takes a lot of pressure off the both of you. Also, be spontaneous. The best part of this type of sex is that you don't have to worry about being "safe" or "careful". It should be a blast (no pun intended). Good luck!

You can go to a doctor and he/she can tell you when your eggs are there. It sounds strange but it'll get you and your hubby a baby. Congrats if you get one!

find out exactly when u ovulate. i say go online and search for an ovulation calculator. fill it in and it will tell u the exact dates on which u should have sex. then it will tell u your approximate due date.
good luck.
