I took my car into a Sears Auto Center Tuesday to get a front end alignment done. Everything went great. The car was really out of alignment, but they took care of it with no problems. I also had them do an oil change on it.
But within less than a week i have had three unrelated problems pop up with my car - and i just find that odd. First my check engine light has been coming on and off over the past few days, yesterday my exhaust pipe broke in two and today my air conditioning quits working. It blows-but blows out hot air. Maybe im being silly, but i just find it quite odd that all of these things would go wrong at practically the same time. Is it possible they did something to my car in order to get me to bring it back and make more money off of me? Or am i just crazy and running through a spell of bad luck?

Why are those who are going to be executed allowed a last meal of their choice?

If the public thinks a convict deserves both death and the horrible mental suffering of sitting in death row for years knowing he will be killed, how come the public wants to alleviate that convict's suffering ever so slightly by giving him a potentially fantastic last meal of his choice? Isn't that pretty inconsistent?

Either the convict is a worthless human being, or he is not. If the convict is a worthless human being, he should have nothing, not life, and not even a last meal. If he is not a worthless human being, on the other hand, why is he executed?

If being dead is worth 0, and a average life in freedom is worth 10^100 or has infitie value, suppose having a last meal is worth 0.005 on that scale (just a random guess). Then why assume that all those convicts deserve exactly 0.005 worth of pleasure, no more, no less? Isn't that unlikely, expecially considering time in death row varies a lot?

A couple of days ago, Sheffield randomly talked about the fact that Torre treated him very poorly because he is black and that he wasn't embraced as a Yankee. He said that the Yankees showed no class towards him, and also thinks that it doesn't count that Jeter is embraced because he is only half black. I really hope this is a misunderstanding because Torre seems to be a great guy who doesn't see race in his players. Sheffield does tend to take things personally, so that might be the case. I think Sheffield needs to clean up his act as a player, he looks like a circus act. Instead of actually talking to people that he has problems with, he talks to the media like a clown and doesn't have the guts to actually act like a man and confront a person. What do you guys think?

I know the Walmart corporation has always implemented a strategy centered around aggresively low prices, but how could they afford to do this? How is it possible for them to have merchancise 50% below the suggested retail price and still make a profit? What makes Walmart the largest corporation in the United States? What sets them apat from the rest of the hard working business owners?

I have a friend and she told me that she knew this guy and that this guy is like totally in love with her. They haven't met yet but they knew each other because of their Friendster accounts and they have common friends... I mean its one thing to be told at work that you cant ram your beliefs and tell people they are going to hell (isint work for work and by spending time evangelising you are commiting the sin of theft) however there is no real persecution of christians in the west.

i read somewhere that a girl claimed that she had the right to have the bible thought in schools etc, however as part of the tollerace stance you must agree that everyone has the right to have peace and quiet.

what i have found is that the persecution is in fact just a rational response to obnoxious behaviours.

ie. a bunch of fundies go into a bowling alley and try to 'convert" the patrons, as it is hurting the business the manager kicks them out and they call it persecution.

what do you think.

if a normal person goes to church, believes in christ and just tells people that they happen to be a christian they will not face any negative events in america.
