I have tried rebooting after install, or not rebooting--don't know why I can't get this simple installation to work. Other downloads work fine. Are there settings I should change? ANy suggestions would be welcome...and thanks !!

remove the player first using the using the uninstaller

I had this problem also. Then I found out my husband removed quick time so I put quick time back on and the Adobe Flash download worked after that. Try reinstalling quick time and it should work fine.
