I do want to have an alcohol-free wedding, but I do want to be a little considerate of the recovering alcoholics in the crowd.

What are some ideas for compromise?
(Other than a cash bar, I think that's kind of tacky.)

I want to know if they could just come into your apartment based solely on an allegation . What happened is I stay around a bunch of old people and at first they would call the cops saying that I was to loud one time they called the police when I wasn't even home saying that i was having a wild party well I filed harrassment charges and they stopped but now my apartment pepole put a note on my door saying that it was reported that my apartment was in their words "VERY UNSANITARY" and now they want to do an inspection on my home like I live in some project I pay $800 a month I am mad because I have a young son and with those types of allegations I could have cps on me. I have lived in this apartment for 3 years never have I been accused of having a dirty home even now my home is clean but i feel like the apt people believe whatever they hear they won't even return my phone calls so I wanted to know if anyone knew what my rights are or should I retain counsel and sue for slandor.

My Dad has Crohns Disease and he takes 16 pills a day and the Prescription cost $400.00 a month and him or my mom does'nt have any health insurance. Is anyone of the belief that there may be more than ONE God..maybe there are several of them like in Ancient Greece.. Mount Olympus and all that jazz..?
They toy with us ...like moving chess pieces around a board..??
Putting us in places and situations for their own pleasure and amusment..??
Due to an unforseen incident the other day...300 miles away and 5 hours earlier in the day...I found myself in a place I should not have been at a time I should not have been there, and I over heard things said by other people which I should not have heard...and never would have if that earlier incident had not happened when it did.
Do you think the Gods WANTED me to hear what was said so they could have a good old belly laugh at my reaction...of which there was none..lol.??

Whisper softly of the Gods...for they shall have the last laugh.
They are a bunch of comedians...and the jokes on us..lol

I hear people all the time ridicule the movies and say that they are promoting Witchcraft (like that is a bad thing). First of all, it's just a movie and a fun one at that. Secondly, instead of calling Harry Potter a Satan Worshiper (there is no mention of Satan at all in the movies) why not see him as a kid who thinks outside the box and finds creative solutions to solve difficult problems. Thirdly, and most importantly, I hear people say that Harry is a Witch (or Wiccan) and then refer him to as worshiping Satan... Being a witch does not make you Wiccan (and vice versa) that's like saying all Christians are Catholic and Wiccans do not believe in Satan so they can't exactly worship him now can they. Anyway, what is your opinion of the backlash against Harry Potter (and other movies in this category)? Do you think people are going overboard? Why don't people just not watch the movie? Why make such a big deal?

My friend has recently given me his old zippo lighter as I want to start collecting them. Trouble is it is engraved with his ex-girlfriend's name! Is there any way that this can be taken off of the metal surface (and perhaps with my name put over the top?). Worst comes to worst I'll just scratch it off I suppose but am after a neater finish. I have two goldfish. One orange, one gray. Every time I feed them, the orange one chases the gray one away from the food. What's the deal? I feed them a couple times a day, the exact amount the food recommends. The tank is fine, 10 gal with a filter and all that jazz. So what's up? Is the orange one just a meanie? What can I do to fix this?

First, they say Jesus died for your sins.
Then you ask, "Why did He have to?"
Then they say, "Because the wages of sin is death, and you would have gone to hell if not."
Then you ask, "What kind of person or God would require a bloody sacrifice for redemption?"
They say, "Because God loved you so much, he gave his son to die for you."
Then I ask, "But God got his son back, what did He lose?"
The only way I can understand it is:
God was ready to turn his back on the world because it was too corrupt, but decided instead to take on human form and go down and experience life as a human, try to communicate wiht people. He saw it was really hard for us here, and felt the hopelessness of feeling totally separated from God. And he saw when he tried to challenge religious leaders, he was persecuted and finally killed. Then he went back home and decided not to destroy everything, but to send the message that bloody sacrifice is not the way, that all should be forgiven.

I have a flower bed right outside my window. Every night a cricket camps out there and "chirps" all nite. It is surprisingly load and keeps me awake. When I go out there (at 3am!) to find it and put it out of my misery, it shuts up and I cant find it. So I cant kill it b/c I cant find it. Then as soon as I go inside and lay my head down...25 seconds later here goes the chirping again. It is very, very annoying.

What can I do to stop this? Is there some treatment I can put in my flower bed that wont kill my plants but will either kill crickets or prevent them from choosing *THAT* particular location to loudly announce their stupid mating call all nite? Thank you in advance!
