Not the healthiest thing, but really tasty!
Bread the steaks in some flour, salt, and pepper. Pan-fry them in a little oil until they're seared. Remove them from the pan and make gravy from the drippings (brown some flour in the drippings, then add some water while stirring constantly - add salt, pepper, galrlic, and a sliced onion if you want it), then put the steaks back in the pan to smother for a while till they're cooked through.

Country Fried steak 1 1/2 cups, plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 8 (4-ounce) tenderized beef round steak (have butcher run them through cubing machine) 1 teaspoon House Seasoning, recipe follows 1 teaspoon seasoning salt 3/4 cup vegetable oil 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 4 cups hot water 1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (recommended: Ac'cent), optional 1 bunch green onions, or 1 medium yellow onion, sliced Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle 1 side of the meat with the House Seasoning and the other side with the seasoning salt, and then dredge the meat in the flour mixture. Heat 1/2 cup oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 or 4 of the steaks to the hot oil, and fry until browned, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove each steak to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with the remaining steaks, adding up to 1/4 cup more oil, as needed. Make the gravy by adding the 2 tablespoons remaining flour to the pan drippings, scraping the bottom with a wooden spoon. Stir in the remaining 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and the salt. Reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the flour is medium brown and the mixture is bubbly. Slowly add the water and the Ac'cent, if using, stirring constantly. Return the steaks to the skillet and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low, and place the onions on top of the steaks. Cover the pan, and let simmer for 30 minutes. House Seasoning: 1 cup salt 1/4 cup black pepper 1/4 cup garlic powder Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months. Yum! Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Cook it like you would cook steak in the oven. It is just beef that has been tenderized by using the mallet tenderizer.
Season it the way you like your steak. I like to drizzle soy sauce on it and sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 20 mins and it is great.

Make chicken fried steak out of it and serve it up with some country gravy. You fix it just like you are going to fry chicken only you do it with the cubed steak.

Use an egg, flour, and breadcrumb wash. beat eggs and put into bowl, put some flour onto a plate with dried onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and then breadcrumbs.
Dip meat into egg first and then flour and then back into egg and then into breadcrumbs.
Cook up unitl crisp on the outside in frying pan with oil.
Serve with a baked potato.
You can make gravy with the drippings- You can either put in flour and milk and salt and pepper to make a white gravy or use a can of cream of mushroom soup is good too.

We just had chicken fried steak last night! My husband makes an egg dip with a few eggs, milk, and seasonings and hot sauce. Then get a dish for flour and seasonings for dredging, and another pan of bread crumbs. Dredge in flour, dip in egg wash, coat in bread crumbs, really pressing them in. Fry in a hot pan with about 1/4" of oil. Cast iron works great for this.
I made a bacon gravy to go with it, and the mashed potatoes. Not healthy, but sinfully good.

that would make a great curry.
1. cramelise half an onion in a pan with hot oil
2. add the meat to the pan and when brown add sum dhania (coriander) powder. (use the coarse one not the fine as this will give you a nice gravy)
3. sum jeera, tumeric (1 tspoon), chilli powder(2 table spoons), ginger and garlic-crushed (1 tspoon) and salt to taste
4. half fill the pot with water and leave to simmer for about 15min
5. once the meat is ready, add abt 3 potatoes halved and top up the pot with more water for the potatoes to cook
6. once the potatoes are done, its ready (make sure the water has gone down)
serve with rice and salad
try it, hope you like

Chicken Fried Steak or Salisbury Steak.
I use the free website www.allrecipes.com to get recipes and ideas. They have a feature called ingredient search where you can list an ingredient you want to use and it will return all the recipes that use that ingredient. The recipes are rated and reviewed by users, so you can have a pretty good idea if it's a good recipe or not.
Good luck!
