I am a bipolar patient, and have been doing very well until this week. I've been so depressed for the past few days that I can barely do anything at all. Typing this question is taking every bit of energy I have. It's for no good reason--nothing bad has happened in my life, and the rational part of my mind knows that I probably just need some sort of adjustment to my medication plan. But here's the problem: My psychiatrist is out of town this week, and I have no way of contacting her until Monday. I've emailed her and called her office...and they keep telling me she'll call me back later. They won't give me any contact info for her, and they referred me to the local ER. I called, and was told that they can't do anything for me unless I'm "in crisis"...meaning that unless I say I'm a danger to myself, they won't help me. I'm not suicidal, but still too depressed to function. I can't handle this for another week until my Dr. gets back. Is there ANYTHING I can do at this point?

What can you do to a teacher than refuses to understand the point you have to make.

He is seriously frustrating me! I make suggestion and he tells me it's wrong, when i know it's right.

And when we have exams which is tomrrow. he only accepts notes he has!! Nothing made up in my own words!! All my other teachers recommend it but he wants it word-for-word


You guys should see the definition he gave for area!! 3 paragraphs!! I put it in my own words for a test and he gave me 0.

What to do, i have to deal with him for the next two years until i get out of the school!!

They tacked on an additional @$2700 onto my loan and since that time my car payment went from $350 a month to $700 a month. Before this happened, my credit was good, and since after that time my credit changed drastically. I've been told that this may be illegal. If anyone has info, please let me know. Oh, and this is in CALIFORNIA.

She likes to tell me her problems and everything else I don't want to know. I understand if she needs to get issues off her chest, but if she wants to do that it should be with a friend, of which she has many, not me, her daughter. I find myself worrying about things I should not be worrying about.
For example, about a month a ago she told me that she was going to ask my father for a divorice, but she was going to wait untill the end of the summer. I don't think that is something I should have had to worry about. The proper time for me to find out would have been when they were accually getting divoriced, not months in advance. So, now I have the weight of that on my shoulders untill it happens.
I get it if she wants to tell me SOME of her problems, but she's gone too far. How can I get my mother to stop telling me her problems and such so I don't have to listen to them or worry about them?

In about 1989 in the Panhandle of Texas I was driving at about 5 am. In a flash I saw something white fly across the front of my hood and looked right at me. In an instant it was gone. It seemed to be sleek with white hair. Was I halusinating? I can still see it in my mind.

I've never been big on reading, but I've recently developed a love of books. I particularly like SciFi or Fantasy books. I loved Enders Game and Revenge of the Sith. I really liked Stranger in a strange Land until about half way through when the author started smoking crack. Can you recommend something good along those lines?

You work an average of 7 hours a day at most, for about 9 months. You get numerous holidays off, plus a month and a half in the summer. You moan about how you're under paid which is BS. I teach my kids a lot more than they learn in school. Don't tell me you stay late each day after school. I know that's BS also. Whenever I try to get a hold of a teacher after school, most of the time they had already left. Yeah, you may have to put up with the rambunctious student here and there, but you chose that profession. If you can't handle it, you shouldn't be doing it. In my opinion teachers today are lazy and are only showing up to get a paycheck. Sure, there are some that are good & take it seriously, but for the most part, you all thought it would be cool to work part time for fulltime pay and now your bored with it and our kids are suffering. My question is, why don't you stop taking up space & let someone who really wants to teach do it? This is more for H.S. teachers.

I need more information on how universities recruit and scout out student-athletes(who play basketball). What do they look for? How are some ways i can contact some scouts? Should I show them some videos and achievements I've recieved? ive already heard of the CPOA organization, and im going to send them my information as soon as possible. Im also planning on joining some leagues and other basketball programs ,such as the AAU, as well as joining other programs that can help me improve my skills/fundementals. PS.Im going to be a junior in the fall, with a 4.5 GPA. I have played basketball since the 4th grade. Basketball is the one sport that im truly passionate about. Im an all around player but i mostly play small foward. I'm 5'9 and im willing to do anything to improve my skill. I plan on obtaining a scholarship through athletics and if not through academics.Any advice, tips, or opinions are welcome. id really appreciate web adresses if you can give any.
