The God of Abraham which Allah proposes to be says that a prophet must agree with the prophets of God and that a prophet must agree with the word of God. Why would God use then use a man who does neither and we are to believe he is a prophet of God? Sorry Muhammad messed up his god is not in agreement with the God that existed before Muhammad and yet Allah claims to be this God. The God of Moses foretold of the tree of life....Abraham said the lord would provide himself a lamb. Isaiah said the lamb of God would atone for sin...Jesus agreed with these prophesies and said he would fulfill them. Now how is itn you believe that a man who denies all of these truths is from God? It is impossible. The prophets of God did not agree with Muhammad nor does Allah agree with the God he claims to be.

This is one good question for discussion. As if someone nowadays say that he is a prophet and say that he got the words from God. I was asking myself the same thing and I found out some good explanation. Unluckily it is in Bahasa (http://www.harunyahya.com/indo/buku/menyingkap015.htm), but I'm sure you can find some good site in English.
As A muslim we believed it is the words of God. And the proof is when there're verses that discuss about something way beyond the time when Muhammad pbuh live.
For example, the creation of rain. Where the knowledge of how rain is made, is only known by the scientist few hundreds years before now, it is already being stated in Quran (Surat ar-Rum: 48)
And also how Quran stated that galaxy is expanding (now the scientist is discussing about it). And a lot more explanation of the earth that human can't possibly explain without making lot of research. There's no way Muhammad can know about this thing on his own. So, it's the word of God

mmmmm NO. specific, the Bible has been translated, yet most of the classic Hebrew scrolls stay to tell the tale and the translations are remarkably on the threshold of the originals. specific, no longer each e book grew to become into placed into the canon ( the bible) however the different writings are nonetheless enjoyed and study and preserved and don't practice info of "tampering." Absence of info isn't info of absence (Carl Sagan). you don't know for specific that Gabriel surely "spoke" to Muhammad, we've basically his be conscious for that. Muhammad never finished any miracles in any respect, so the place does this authority come from? Muhammed could no longer study or write, yet his spouse wrote down what he instructed him, isn't that "transcribing"? Allah grew to become into the very appropriate god of the various deities the Arabs have been worshiping on the time. Muhammed in simple terms picked the precise one to put in can charge. The Bible memories are over 4000 years previous. There are people who see info of evolution interior the Bible and a constrained few who % to no longer. Jesus instructed us that different fake prophets might come after him. He warned us to no longer be fooled. some examples of fake prophets are Mohammed, Joseph Smith, and L Ron Hubbard. you will have self belief what you prefer of direction, however the Bible has been shown to be the know God with the aid of prophecies fulfilled. The Qur'an has basically Muhammad's be conscious going for it.

According to tradition, he received the verses, certain people memorized them and then put them on paper. There is also a controversy about certain versions of Kuran being destroyed after his death, during the struggle for Caliphate (remember how Vatican destroyed certain versions of the Bible and standardized the texts) but as I am not a scholar, I can't say for sure.

Co-produced by his ambitious wife I would imagine.
If what you say is true (quite likely) then it's savage to think that a whole culture is basing itself on the writings of an illiterate isn't it?

Mohammad recited the Qur'an, and the Qur'an was put together after he died. He did not write it as many believe.

If it was written by God, who was his publisher?
Of course it wasn't written by God. Mohammed didn't write it either, being illiterate. It was written by his followers to justify his teachings, which he couldn't write himself anyway.
