She would constantly ask me if I have a boyfriend and say things like "geez, at 27, most people have found someone, its really strange that you haven't!"

Everytime we see eachother she'd be like "Do you have a boyfriend yet? Do you have a boyfriend yet?"

a lot of other denominations of christanity say catholics do not follow the bible.

1. the catholic church put together the bible, before the catholic church it was random writings, not an actual bible.

2. Catholics do not worship Mary. She is not God, but she did give birth to Him- that deserves a bit of respect dont you think?

3. catholics do not worship saints. Inorder to become a saint you have to do a lot of good, what is it - like 600 miracles? And devout your entire life to God. We do not see them as God, just people that devouted their entire life as God

4. Confession: catholics do not believe the preist is the one forgiving you of your sins. Honestly, I think people are against this because they dont want people to know what they did wrong.

5. catholic mass is extreamly similar to a jewish service (ive been to a few). Should church, the church that Jesus intended be similar to the services He attended?

after reading that, whats wrong with the catholic church?

Alright, I have OCD right, and I was washing my hands over a rug and I feel like I cheated on my girlfriend, the reason is, I flex'd my penis while walking away from the rug, and normally when I flex my penis its to urinate or something like that, actually im not even sure... I wasnt naked or anything and I did it mindlessly pretty much, without much thought, im not sure why exactly i did it.., it doesnt make sense, is this just an OCD thought? or did I really do something bad that I should tell my girlfriend? I didnt infect the rug with anything that I know of, but the thing is, I was trying not to do that prior to washing my hands, like not flex my penis just normally walk away... and i ended up doing it, like mindlessly? should I just discard this instance or did I really do something bad?

In 615 AD, Khusru Parviz of Persia attacked Byzantium (Roman) empire and gained control of Syria, Palestine and North Africa. He ransacked Jerusalem, set fire to the Holy Sepulcher and destroyed numerous cities. The war ended in clear victory for fire-worshippers of Persia.

News of the defeat of Byzantine worshippers of God was received with satisfaction by the idolaters of Mecca. This was grievous to the Muslims and caused them much anxiety about the future course of the events. It was then that a revelation came foretelling the renewed triumph of the Byzantine over the Persians within few years.

These are the relevant verses of Surat Ruum in the Quran: “The Romans have been defeated in a land nearby. But in the future they will triumph over their enemies, within a period of few years. All affairs, both earlier and later, are in the hands of God. And on the day when the Romans triumph, the believers and the followers of Islam will rejoice. God assists to whomsoever He wills, and He is Powerful and Compassionate. This is the promise of God, a promise which can not be violated, but most of the people know not”. (30:1-6).

Within less than 10 years, this Prophecy of the Quran was fulfilled in the year 624 A.D. corresponding to year 2 A.H. How can we explain the confident and categorical prediction of the victory of a defeated people over a victorious people, in the absence of any factors pointing to the likelihood of such an event? A realistic approach to the state of society and the course of events would definitely have contradicted this prophesy.


Now the question is the Prophet of Islam foretold a definite military victory at a certain point in the future. How did he know it was going to occur?

i have a friend, she thinks she's ugly and relies on her elder sister to go and do everything with and for her.
Everyone tells her shes sooo pretty, and she really is, no one calls ehr ugly, no one, becasue shes gorgouse, but she thinks shes hidiouse.
she also relies on ehr sister all the time.
she relies on ehr for everything.
there too close, i tried telling the elder sister to giver her some space, but she says the psace isnt needed, i tried telling ehr, she needs it and she doesnt know how it feels unless she tries it. but she refuses. and says she has tried.
i dont knwo what to do about my friend, the tihng is, she needs ot wear glasses all the time, otherwise shell go blind, but she is very preocupied about ehr looks, she hardly ever wears them. i understand it's lack in confidence and low selfesteeem and she need to fix it herself. but i dont think she can. she's always calling ehrself ugly and hidiouse.
i highly doubt its attention seeking.
what should i do?

im sorry if i offended anyone such as all the atheists who have angrily answered my question! i was curious so i asked a question. im offended by the people who assumed i was saying all atheists were hateful and mean! i said SOME NOT ALL were. and i will admit Christians aren't perfect either and we do some terrible things but so does everyone else and i dont like sterotypes anymore than the angry, annoyed people who answered my question. Before my marriage in 99, I worked at a small company making hardly any money. That entire year of 99 my ex-husband and I dated. He owned his own business. We were married in Dec of that year and filed together for the refund the following year using my social security number. Shortly after, I got a statement from the IRS stating I owed almost $18,000 and the IRS has been taking my tax refunds for almost 3 years now. My husband works for himself and doesn't even file so I'm left to pay the bill. Each year interest occurrs and it looks like I will never pay it off. I feel that since I did not work in his buisness or even know how much money I would be charged with, I feel like I shouldn't have to pay this money back. That entire year, I had nothing to do with his business even though I filed with him. Doesn't this seem unfair and how do I get out of this?
