Not one historian can deny this check and you will see?

In 615 AD, Khusru Parviz of Persia attacked Byzantium (Roman) empire and gained control of Syria, Palestine and North Africa. He ransacked Jerusalem, set fire to the Holy Sepulcher and destroyed numerous cities. The war ended in clear victory for fire-worshippers of Persia.

News of the defeat of Byzantine worshippers of God was received with satisfaction by the idolaters of Mecca. This was grievous to the Muslims and caused them much anxiety about the future course of the events. It was then that a revelation came foretelling the renewed triumph of the Byzantine over the Persians within few years.

These are the relevant verses of Surat Ruum in the Quran: “The Romans have been defeated in a land nearby. But in the future they will triumph over their enemies, within a period of few years. All affairs, both earlier and later, are in the hands of God. And on the day when the Romans triumph, the believers and the followers of Islam will rejoice. God assists to whomsoever He wills, and He is Powerful and Compassionate. This is the promise of God, a promise which can not be violated, but most of the people know not”. (30:1-6).

Within less than 10 years, this Prophecy of the Quran was fulfilled in the year 624 A.D. corresponding to year 2 A.H. How can we explain the confident and categorical prediction of the victory of a defeated people over a victorious people, in the absence of any factors pointing to the likelihood of such an event? A realistic approach to the state of society and the course of events would definitely have contradicted this prophesy.

Now the question is the Prophet of Islam foretold a definite military victory at a certain point in the future. How did he know it was going to occur?

Simple. Al-Qu'ran is a very vaguely written text. Anyone could interpret any of the verses to mean multiple concepts, because most of the writing is metaphoric in nature instead of literal.

When you can find a simple, straight-forward proof of the Reimann Hypothesis in Al-Qu'ran, I'll believe it's true.

Good luck with that, after reading Al-Qu'ran four times, I never found that proof. Pity.

It's pretty well known that Egyptians mummified their dead. The question is, why do you pre-suppose that "Firaun" was the name of ANY Pharoah? The historical accuracy of Firaun's existance has been questioned because the Quran states he claimed to be the one and only god. In actuality, Egyptian pharaohs believed in many gods besides themselves. This makes "Firaun" a strange exception, since Firaun is quoted in the Qur'an as saying: "O Chiefs! no god do I know for you but myself." [Qur'an 28:38] "Then he (Firaun) collected (his men) and made a proclamation, Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". [Qur'an 79:23-24] According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, "The Egyptians believed their Pharaoh to be a god, identifying him with the sky god Horus and with the sun gods Re, Amon, and Aton. The Pharaoh's divine status was believed to endow him with magical powers: ... he was able to trample thousands of the enemy on the battlefield, and he was all-powerful, knowing everything and controlling nature and fertility." While pharaohs believed they were divine, they did not believe they were the only god. Only Akhenaten was a monotheist and he believed the only god was Aten, not himself. There is no other recording of an Egyptian Pharoh named Firaun except in the Quran, nor is there a recording of a Pharoh other than Akhenaten who thought there was only one god.

i was once talking to a muslim and an ex muslim and the muslim brought this up and i said its a lucky guess and the ex muslim said the romans and the persians were fighting for hindreds of years and sometimes the romans won and the persians sometimes won and its a wide prophecy he said something like within ten years they will be defeated thats like me saying withing 2 months it will rain maybe they seen that the roman army was in bad shape and was about to be defeated but if you choose to believe in "prophecy" then so be it

The same way any prophecy "predicts" anything. People free-associate the obscure words of the oracle with the known facts of history, and find what appear to be striking coincidences. It's really exactly the same process that finds portraits of the Virgin in grease stains.

If Islam is "true" on this account, then so is Christianity. Hell, so is the Mayan religion - get ready for 2012!

That's more like an educated guess. Hardly a prophecy. How about mentioning the ones that are unfulfilled Captain Propaganda? Even if I believed it was true, what difference would it make to me sat here?

While I don't dispute the Qur'an as being from God, I also don't think you can use that as evidence. If Muslims read the Qur'an, and read that prediction, then don't you think they felt compelled to defeat the Persian empire, as it was what God told them to do?

Why didn't the "prophet" tell muslims the Jews would be returning to Israel as biblical prophets like Ezekiel did? He would have saved the world a lot of stress, it would have been a lot more helpful than the prophecy you're referencing.

Again, shotgun prophecy. You REALLY have to come up with something better than vaguely-worded predictions if you want to convince anyone.

devils prophesy. I'm sure you think the same way about the Bible's prediction in Genesis 16:11

Daniel predicted it long before the man that married a 9 year old little girl who said an angel told him to do that too.

Jesus also in Revelations agreed with Daniel and also said if you add to my word you will recieve plagues Revelation 22, and that man was to marry one woman-not more than one and not a little girl-who in todays maturity would be about 6-7 years old.

yet then again when we reject the salvation of Jesus as I once did you can believe just about anything=it breaks his heart when we reject Jesus

He even had his birth predicted 700 years before he came

Isaiah 9:6 Unto us a child is born a son is given and he will be almighty God the wonderful counselor and the prince of peace."

Many others say the bible has been changed but why would those of my Jewish people that reject their own Messiah Jesus and claim it will be another-leave this in their Jewish Scriptures=because it is God's Word and none can change it.

there is a real heaven and as Daniel 12:2 says a hell of abhorance forever -Jesus said so too=Revelation 19-22nd chapters and described the joy of heaven and the agony of forever in hell for rejecting his salvation too=

why not believe Jesus Words

He said if we reject his words, my words shall judge you in the last day at the judgement." John 12:48

Mathew 24 Jesus says hell is gnashing teeth and weeping forever & its Revelation 19-22nd chapters that describes the joy of heaven and agony of hell

this is what happened when I let the Words of Jesus save me=Revelation 3:19&20 "I love you and ask you to repent (even of one lie) and Behold I stand at your heart door and knock if you hear my word, and ask me in, I will come in and be your friend and you mine.
Jesus offers us to be our best friend-It happened for me that day when I prayed, "Jesus thank you that you love me and offer to come into my heart and be my friend, I am sorry for my sins, please come in, amen."

praying the best for you too inner peace and joy evermore on earth and in heaven too knowing Jesus as your savior and best friend as he asks, even with trial He will always come through for you, David
