If you remember those really good (and sometimes REALLY cheesy) TV movies from the late Sixties/early-to-mid Seventies, like DUEL, KILLDOZER, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK, DYING ROOM ONLY, CROWHAVEN FARM, FIVE DESPERATE WOMEN, THE NIGHT STALKER and THE NIGHT STRANGLER, etc., you know what I'm talking about. They were great training for up-and-coming actors, and provided steady work for Golden-Age-of-Hollywood legends who couldn't get many big-screen movie roles anymore. Now it seems like all the basic cable channels like Disney, TNT, Court TV, Lifetime, A&E and the rest are producing their own films, and the major networks have fallen back on mostly reality shows and newsfotainment shows to pad their schedules.

Does anybody think that they'll ever "make 'em like they used to?"

I have never been prejudice against any race, but I'm very concerned that if the amnesty bill or any form of amnesty for people who have broken the law is passed that American people will develop a hatred toward all Mexicans since we can't tell which ones are here legally.

Why is Bush more determined to grant amnesty than protect our country? He signed the bill last year authorizing the fence to be built. Where's the fence? Why are businesses that are hiring illegals still being allowed to function when they have broken so many laws - like issuing fake social security numbers to illegals?

Corrupt businesses are every bit as guilty as the illegals and maybe they should lose their citizenship and be deported along with the illegals for aiding and abetting in a federal crime!

If there are no businesses supporting illegals and our borders are secure, the illegals will go away. We need to enforce the laws we already have, not create laws that reward and protect criminals!

My friend was telling me her husband tells her not to moan(if thats the right word) when they are making love. They only both 34. they have 1 child. I aksed her if it was loud and he maybe feared the child would hear it but she said no.She says she only moans that only someone very close to their bed would hear it.

He told her it was just for teens or unmarried people to moan and that it's stupid for adults to do that.So she says she just lies there like a log.

So don't married people with children moan. I thought moaning was a way of showing your partner you were enjoying what they were doing to you.

what's your take on her situation, married people? How to you avoid the noise so your children don't have to hear it.Is it immature to moan in bed when married..This was the first time i was hearing this.

I just read an interesting statment form an atheiest. I pray for him, but I also wonder this? If you were living in a city and you had a son. Then one day, the city you are living in is struck with some kind of major catastrophy, like what happened in Luoisiana, or like in the Movie, "War of the Worlds", (not sayign I believe in aliens), would you have the courage to give up the life of your son or daughter, just so someone elses kid could live. I mean think about it before anyone wants to get key happy, It is your only child and if your child goes, then your bloodline stops and your heart will be in so much pain, your creation that you were graced with is gone, for a stranger? I have a 2 year old son that I love to the depths of my heart and soul, and I am also a firm and religious believer in GOD, but I honestly dont know if I could answer this question myself, and God please forgive for saying that. I think it is what makes believers believers. Jesus died for me, can my son?

every week i catch my neighbor bringing his trash over and putting it in my garbage pail near the road (for pickup). when i am not home(working) he comes over and uses my pool (according to my other neighbor) i also notice some of my patio furnature out of place, so i think he is defidently using my pool. some stuff has also been missing from my house, like food and beer. sometimes his wife comes over and harrasses me. i dont know what to do. can you give me some ideas.

Considering the number of outside activities most homeschoolers are involved in and that homeschoolers are able to use the whole world as their classroom, shouldn't homeschooling be renamed to reflect what it really is: Family based (as opposed to institution based) education?

This might help resolve the misconception that most homeschoolers are socially isolated and that they spend all of their time at home, which in most cases is the opposite of the truth.
