My puppy is barely 3 months and he just got the distemper virus. He also got pnemonia(sp?) and seizures (turns out he was sick since I got him). The vet says there is less than a 50% chance he'll make it, and if he does it's a possiblity he might be handicapped! He's currently in the hospital... but it's $1000 a day and I can't keep him there forever. It's really heartbreaking for me. I'm trying to keep him in the hospital as long as I can though his condition isn't changing much. Please give me any advice. Thanks.

Story link to dissuade liberal "whining"
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/06/12/war.deadline/index.html?eref=yahoo

quote 1
Senate Democrats will once again try to impose timetables for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Tuesday.
quote 2
However, President Bush would have the power to waive that requirement.(timetables)
quote 3
Some Democrats critical of the president's handling of the war have been pushing to rescind that authorization(2003)
1.) Since when did ex post facto legislation become legal in this country?
2.) Since the president can waive this, what possible use is this debate OTHER than grandstanding
3.)Notice that the pork barreling from the last time and the OVERT move by the pelosi/reid regime to stop debate on the 36000 carded (pork) requests are not talked about by Reid AT ALL?
4.)Since Cindy Sheehan sold out in Tex. for a profit and Nancy P. sold out for a jet any thought on what Harry wants for his sure sellout?

I own a large lot in a highly sought after neighborhood. I've decided against building a house myself, so I'm trying to explore all of my options as far as making a profit from it. A realtor told me that I could make more money if I hooked up with a builder and put a spec house on versus just selling the lot outright. However, she didn't specify what percentage of the total profit I would share in when the house sells, so I'm looking for help.

I once read a short little page about a business man walking down the beach and comes across a bum laying in the sand. His hands behind his head, enjoing the sunshine. (or he might of been fishing)...The rest of the story is about the Business man asking why he doesn't start fishing or maybe....sell his fish to make money...then he might have enough to buy a boat. Sell lots of fish.....buy a fleet of boats. Make lots of money and soon be very rich. ect. Then he wouldn't have to ever work again and be able to just relax on the beach. No worrys. The bum says to him....isn't that what i am doing right now? Please if anyone has that. Let me know. I just guessed at the wording. I forget how it goes, but it made an impact in my life.

I would say they're all equal, in different ways. From birth to marriage, it's your parents. When you're raising them, it's your kids. When they grow up, it's your spouse.

Parents - they're where you came from, they will always love you
Spouse - if you're lucky, the other half of you
Kids - your future, you will always love them and have the greatest duty to them

Ideally they would always all be about the same, but it probably goes kids, parents, then spouse, from greatest to least, because most marriages aren't that good.

a) The anode (+ terminal) of an X-ray tube is at a potential of +119000V with respect to the cathode (- terminal). How much work (J) is done by the electric force when an electron is accelerated from the cathode to the anode? Also if the electron is initially at rest, what kinetic energy does the electron have when it arrives at the anode?

b) The potential at location A is 440V. A positively charged particle is released from rest & arrives at location B with a speed vB. The potential at location C is 784V, & when released from rest from this spot, the particle arrives at B with twice the speed it previously had, or 2vB. Find the potential at B.

c) Two hollow metal spheres are concentric with each other. The inner sphere has a radius of 0.1740m & a potential of 86.0V. The radius of the outer sphere is 0.176m & its potential is 84.0V. If the region between the spheres is filled with Teflon, find the electric energy contained in this space.

I'm officially a junior now. I have decent grades, but I'm lacking in extracurricular activities. Is it too late to start volunteering and still get in? I'm really determined to into Berkeley (not through transferring however). The only things I can think of "special" about me is passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and helping take care of my now 6-year-old cousins. I don't know if this will help give me an advantage, but I live about an hour away from Berkeley and I'm a first-generation student from a low income family.

I hope there's someone out there like me who got in despite the lateness...

I'm not looking for general answers like "Do extracurricular activities." I need examples. I want to make this summer very constructive.

Please help me! I'm a willing student and I've changed a lot (I used to be the "loner" in elementary & middle school.). I've become more confident lately.

Christianity is supposed to teach love and forgiveness, yet it implies superiority and eternal reward.

Islam is supposed to teach complete submission to God, yet it implies bringing others to submission.

Wicca teaches reverance and respect for nature, but it implies receiving the ability to manipulate it.

Do you think that the teachings attract followers, and the implications happen over time? Or do you think that implications are what is attractive?
