It pisses me off, being a soldier who has spent almost 4 years in a combat zone, a soldier who is in one now, when i hear EX military liberals who were enlisted during times of peace try to piggy back off those of us who have put our @sses on the line ACTUALLY fighting.

The soldiers certainly have suffered enough. That's why we should instantly cut off all further funding for the Iraq war to bring them home. Bush is like a teenage wastrel, gambling his family's money away and spending it for vicious and destructive purposes. We are the family. It's our money he's spending, our money that allows him to kill thousands of our innocent sons and daughters and scores of thousands of innocent Iraqis. Take away the wallet and the car keys now and get those kids home!

Btw, rescinding a bad or superannuated law, something which is done routinely in legislative sessions everywhere, has nothing whatsoever to do with making laws creating crimes "ex post facto," something prohibited by the U.S. Constitution. While the Congress may pass no law subjecting someone to criminal prosecution for behavior that when performed was not illegal, Congress may certainly at any time cease authorizing anything it's previously authorized.

And while Bush, of course, can veto any funding bill that includes timetables, Congress can retaliate by not sending him any funding bill at all! Then he would have no choice but to bring his disastrous war speedily to an end and bring our soldiers back to safety.
