I just purchased a lap top I don't have any experience about lap top. I have DSL connection for my desk top and right know the only way than I can connect to internet with my lap top is disconnecting my desk top and using modem for my lap top with sim. How can I have seperete connection for my lap top? and how can I have connection to internet without using modem and without sim. ( my friend has same dsl as me and he can connect to internet without modem and sim I know he does not have wirelss card too)

I was at a restaurant and a guy started screaming at the shift supervisor -- a girl about 25. He wanted breakfast but they had stopped serving that and were serving lunch. He yelled and yelled -- she kept apologizing and trying to reason with the guy but he wouldn't listen to reason. She tried to walk away but he followed her. The girl obviously needed help... All the men in the place kept their heads down and concentrated on their food. Finally I'd had enough and I stood up and told the guy to leave her alone. Then several other WOMEN stood up and said the same thing. Confronted with so many, the guy left.

The men never did ANYTHING. I dunno, maybe if the guy had been confronted by another man he would have gotten more violent, maybe it was best this way ... but I was pretty disgusted with the men, just the same!

SHOULDN'T a guy have stood up to help this poor girl?

ok so my only sister is getting married in April of 2008 and I am in the wedding with two of her other friends. We went to try on dresses and the woman asked us who the maid of honor was and we didnt know. We werent sure if it was going to be me or her friend. so i tried to talk to my mom about it and she told me it was a big responsibility. I am only almost 16 so I will not be able to plan the bachalorette party but I can plan a lot of the other stuff with the possible help of the other bridesmaids.
