I know I'm not the only one to use the following link:
http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
But I'm going to use it anyway! I don't think it's "rude" to use "facts" to say that someone is obese.
Doctors use that term all the time when it is true for a person.
And for this fictional, social-experimental person, it is true that she is obese.
I cannot believe how many people are answering this question just because they are upset by someone using the word "fat".
Hey. I don't like that word either.... especially when it doesn't apply to a person. But this girl is technically obese.
She may be a really great person with the best personality and the biggest heart imaginable. But. If she were to go to a Doctor, they would tell her to lose weight because she is obese and is not healthy.
The question asker's question may have offended you just because this person was made up, but he shouldn't have offended you by describing an obese person as fat. (Now if he were describing a 5'6" - 130 pound person as "fat, you would have all been right in getting offended.)

It depends on whether it is "Fat tissue" or "Muscle" as muscle weighs more than fat! If she is someone who is athletic, she may have large leg muscles which can account for a lot of it, but "190" seems pretty healthy, when it comes to these things too, it depends on how that person feels about themselves, and how they actually feel health wise. If they feel good, and are active (not sitting on the couch all day) then there is not much wrong with it. Besides, women with curves are more exciting and have more to offer then someone who is bony with no curves! We have to have some meat on our bones....there is such a thing as being too skinny too!

She needs to lose about 40-60 pounds according to medical body fat charts. However, body weight is not the best indicator of fat or skinny b/c she could be muscular and have a big frame. She is probably wearing a size 16 or 18 in woman's clothing. She is slightly overweight, but not obese.

I can't believe how some people are answering this question. Overweight is becoming too acceptable these days. I'm not being rude, but check the bmi calculator, this girl technically falls under the obese range. She may not look that fat, but she is not at a healthy weight.

Okay one thing. You can stop pretending you are talking about your friend, you know you're the one that 5'6 and 190. And actually, that is considered overweight. A healthy weight for someone that tall is between 125 and 155.

Very. She's 2" shorter than I am, and I start to look thick at 120 pounds...I can't even imagine how much extra weight she must be carrying around.

I think I remember hearing on Celebrity Fit Club that 185 pounds is the healthy weight for someone who is around 6+ feet tall, so she is obese for sure. If you want to convince her that she is overweight, try showing her the BMI chart. She could probably afford to lose around 40+ pounds, not only for vanity purposes, but for her own health.

Is this a friend who you are concerned about and want to help her, or someone your just trying to make fun of?

I'm not helping someone be a bully!

If your serious, than according the BMI calculator I found, she is about 30lbs over weight.

But she needs to loose weight for health reasons not because some one thinks she's fat!
