My friend and I are emailing each other about religion. She's a Christian and I'm a pagan. She keeps saying stuff that I don't know a lot about. For instance: why do you ask saints and Mary to pray for you? According to her, you shouldn't because they are dead and they can't answer prayers.
I don't really know why she's talking to me about Catholics, I already told her that I'm not the best person to discuss that with . . . but anyway, if you can explain those things to me, please do.

-Why do you ask them to pray for you, even though they are dead?
-Aren't you, by communicating with the saints and Mary, communicating with the deceased? And how is that okay?
-How do you know that they can hear your prayers?
-Why do believe in Purgatory, even though it's not mentioned in the Bible?

This week Comcast was giving away DVRs to customers. I went and picked one up and it was supposed to have a self-instillation guide. I even asked to make sure. When I got home there weren’t any instructions in the bag. There is a power cord, two white cords, and the remote. Where do I attach the cords?

ok heres my story im 18 year old now and believe me i am hopelessly shy and loner oh and loser as well.
as a child i saw fight between my parents my dad used to drink and beat my mom everyday. i mean every night i cried because of my moms innocence and my dad violence. since 16 year i used to scare from my dad alot i mean i was not even able to talk to him. so two years ago we came in America and my fear got decrease towards my dad i don't know how? now my dad drinks two time week and sometime fight with my mom but dont beat her like they used to! so my questions is that my dads fear made me sooooooooooo shy?or am i mentally ill who cry alot and always alone without any friends!i have no freind in school i go to school everyday go to my classes and sit alone in the luch period or sit in the restroom?

The following is a composite function: g of f

f(x) = sqrt(2x+3)
g(x) = x^2+1

(sqrt(2x+3))^2+1

As it is, I think the domain is [-3/2, Infinity)

The weird thing is, I could reduce this to 2x+4 where the domain would instead be all real numbers.

Could someone confirm for me that it is nescessary to first: find the domain before reducing. And also, is it proper to reduce composite functions since it changes the domain?

What would you do if you accidently hit someone and the person suddenly tripped and fell causing himself/herself to bleed to death. Would you chop the body up and throw it in the river or immediately call 911? Would you save yourself or would you help the other person? Don't worry it didn't happen to me. It happened to my mom's friend's sons. Unfortunately, they chose to kill the girl and chop up her body and throw her in the river. But, just as they were about to, a policeman spotted them and now they are facing life in jail. Anyways, whats your response?
