I used to work on a till and was always told it was illegal not to obtain a signature/confirm a PIN when a transaction was processed. When I presented my card the other day I entered my PIN and was then told that it "wasn't working properly" so the merchant just swiped my card through and didn't bother asking for a signature, despite the receipt reading "signature verified". Is this legal at all? I'm just a little concerned at how easy it was to use my card without any sort of verification of my idenitity.

For instance, what is if someone is fine but then lose it like start to uncontrollably cry and feel like they can't physically go on. My boyfriend and I broke up about 2 weeks before prom....he and i were still speaking after we broke up. I am16 years old and he is 18. we have been dating for what would have been 2 years this october. I have no doubt in my mind that i am in love with him. my mother decided that since i still wanted to be with him after the break up, that i was obsessed with him and he is now my "idol" because i say that he is amazing (and i have also called him perfect as in perfect for eachother..."you are perfect for me.") my mother says this is unhealthy and that spending almost everyday together means i worship him and care about nothing else. my mother forbade us to talk until i am 18 (my stepfather said to wait for it to blow over but i know my mother and i know that she was quite serious...)however we went against their wishes and now i am not allowed to leave my house for 6 months and i am not allowed to see or speak to him. i miss him and i feel like my parents are being completely unfair

Without me telling you too much.... I'm 39 weeks and 1 day pregnant, 2 cm dilated, 65% effaced, baby is engaged. I've gained almost 70 lbs, carrying low (but this is #3) and I crave everything, babies heartbeat is around 135-145.

Do you think I'm having a boy or girl? We didn't find out the sex....

Also, when do you think I'll have my baby? Doing it natural at home with a midwife so there's no going to be induced at the hospital!

I have just refinanced and was charged a $6.00 fee to make my mortgage payment online by Countrywide. I was under the impression that paying a mtg online was not subject to fees. Anyone know for sure...I was not charged a fee with my previous two lenders.
