Someone above mentioned Judges 1:19. The account at Judges 1:19-21 says that Judah was not able to dispossess the inhabitants of the low plain; it doesn’t say that God was unable. Why? Simply put, because God’s orders were not fully carried out, many inhabitants of Canaan survived Israel’s conquest of the Promised Land. 2 Kings 17:15 tells us that in time “They [the Israelites] continued rejecting [Jehovah’s] regulations and his covenant that he had concluded with their forefathers and his reminders with which he had warned them, and they went following vain idols and became vain themselves, even in imitation of the nations that were all around them, concerning whom Jehovah had commanded them not to do like them.”
The scripture quoted above at Mark 6:5 is referring to Jesus during his ministry on Earth and is not referring to Almighty God. If you read the context beginning in Mark 6:1, it is clear the lack of faith in Nazareth kept Jesus from performing many powerful works there, certainly not because his source of power was insufficient but because the circumstances did not warrant it and did not allow for it. Divine power was not to be wasted on unreceptive skeptics.
“It is impossible for God to lie,” states the Bible. (Hebrews 6:18) Absolutely correct, God cannot lie.
One more thing that God can’t do…. He cannot act wickedly. Some people will tell you God does wicked things and even religious teachers sometimes lead people to think that God is hardhearted. For example, when tragedy strikes, they say that it is God’s will and in effect, blame God for the bad things that happen. That is not what the Bible really teaches. James 1:13 says “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” Further Job stated at Job 34:10-12 “Far be it from the [true] God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly! … Yes, for a fact, God himself does not act wickedly,And the Almighty himself does not pervert judgment.” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.
So, two things I can think of at the moment God can't do: Lie and act wickedly.
Hope this helps!

happy which you re asking questions for shows you have a lively suggestions and God encourages this so which you will comprehend that he's and that He can do all and all is a risk with God. you're able to ask your self what's sin. Is sin no longer understanding something is misguided and then finding out to do it and who's it that gave us the regulations and the ten commandments and instructed us what's misguided and what's right to do yet God with the help of giving us those regulations. So whilst we sin we destroy God's regulations,His rules--yet as far as i comprehend no person is above God and no person has given rules or regulations to God to stay with. So it motives that God can't sin for he's not answerable to all people else . God can create something and He did with the help of becoming the universe-solar,moon, stars, the earth and you and me. So each and all the heavy enormous rocks that exist on earth He already created. He created the mountains. God does not could strengthen-He being so effectual can merely think of the rock off the floor and it strikes. As you grow previous you will comprehend further and further how God is. i comprehend extra now that i'm grown than whilst i grew to become right into a infant. merely constantly comprehend that God Loves you and that there is not any one in this enormous extensive worldwide merely such as you. shop on asking the questions and shop on loving God.

As a believer, yes I do know that. and see it all the time.
I will offer some explanation for the others on here that do not seem to "get' what God means by that and what you, bluedevil, are trying to say.
The Bible does not say all things are possible FOR God, for God can do anything. It says , "all things are possible WITH God. This is not God acting alone, but it is God acting with us.
Certain things are not possible unless we allow God to work with us in accomplishing them.
The Lord can do everything that He wishes to do but it is not true that he has absolute power to do anything that departs from His goodness. It is impossible for the Lord to depart from His goodness or do anything contrary to His own Divine order .
I knew what I wanted to say , but got some help from the sermon of a Rev. Douglas Taylor that I found on line.
And "learn about the one true God; above me explains it even better than I . Thank you ma'am.-- you said it beautifully.

Nothing is impossible if u r willing to put effort to achieve it. No pain no gain. So u may ask where is Gods hand here?
Well everyday we wake up and we are alive that Gods hand. How? No eartquake, no burgular, no bombblast while we are sleeping and that Gods Hand. But we take those things for granted.
Truth is nothing is possible without Gods hand.

Can god create a stone so heavy that even god could not lift it?
(1) Either God can create a stone which He cannot lift, or He cannot create a stone which He cannot lift.
(2) If God can create a stone which He cannot lift, then He is not omnipotent (since He cannot lift the stone in question).
(3) If God cannot create a stone which He cannot lift, then He is not omnipotent (since He cannot create the stone in question).
(4) Therefore God is not omnipotent.
(5) If god is not omnipotent, then all things are not possible through him.

Well, it might have seemed that way a few centuries ago. But, today "impossible" is relative to our scientific level compared to the scientific level of God, that loving scientist from planet H, a planet that was formed shortly after the Universe was formed 13.7 billion years ago. -- smiles

If God wills it then you can do it, but if He doesn't then there is nothing you can do. That's a fact. You can't remain in this material body forever. That's for certain. Those kind of blanket statements cause confusion to the innocent.

So you say, but he's pretty stingy with the impossible things. I'd like to fly, a pregnant man? cure for aids? I don't think that's impossible but I bet he isn't working on it.
