My husband and I have been invited to a joint graduation party for two cousins tomorrow. Their mothers are sisters.

Cousin #1 is the daughter of a woman we both grew up with and who was our maid of honor. Her father is deceased. We lived away from the area most of her life, but we saw her and her mother nearly every time we came home to visit and have seen them quite often since we moved back home. She became friends with our daughter.

Cousin #2 is a young man we have met maybe one time. His mother is several years older than us. While we have known her as long as we've known Cousin #1's mother, we have never been close to her and haven't seen her in years. Both of his parents are alive.

We are giving cash to each of them for graduation presents. Should we give the same amount to both, or can we give Cousin #1 more?

cigarette lighter is on a seperate circuit and it did have a blown fuse. i replaced it and it works fine now. power port is still not working

I had to put my puppy down about 3 years ago because while I was pregnant, he got incredibly mean and tried to bite me. He also tried to bite a visitor I had one day. I decided then and there I would not have him around my child. I loved the dog, but he wasn't worth having around if he was going to be mean.

You would think as your knowledge and experiences increased that you would adopt a set of values that promoted lasting friendships and strong family ties . That you would work in a field that provided something of value to all people and not work building weapons and arresting and keeping people behind bars for smoking pot . Or trying to teach a history that is not true just because it sounds better then the truth .
50 years ago you may have been able to isolate your community enough to keep the truth out . Trying to scare your kids so much that they never left that small town for the big city . Or chasing those poor teenage girls who enjoyed sex out of town and the bad boys who seemed to wild to settle down and start a family . This is no longer 1950 it is 2007 and we know what happened to the Indians and the slaves and how capitalists hired gunmen to kill workers who tried to organize the workers and ask for more money .
The ugly truth is out and we need to fix the rules .

Just getting more opinions on a question I asked earlier, with maybe a little more clarity on my part. I'm torn between two guys. Help.

Guy #1 - What I meant to say before... this guy has PERSONALITY. He's unique, if not a little weird. I've known him for two years and we have lots in common. We're so alike people think he's my brother. He doesn't know much about dating and isn't keen on a girlfriend, though he acted as my pseudo-boyfriend. Sometimes he hurts my feelings and doesn't understand. I'm content loving this man no matter what. + college degree - teaches music - I'm in the same degree track

Guy #2 - We only have a few things in common, but his background is similar to mine, very blue-collar. He is very nice and funny, but is much lower class than #1 and has zero ambition. Lives with his grandparents and has a factory job. I think my life with him would be a secure one, yet predictable and boring. He'd be easier to tie down than #1 and easier to settle.

Why when I boil eggs sometimes the egg peels with no problem and sometimes the egg peels and takes most of the white with it? Same batch of boiled eggs produces both kinds. Anything I can do?
