It depends on who you are using sarcasm with.
One should be careful about using sarcasm with a stranger, or someone on a professional level whom they aren't well acquainted with.
It's all about how well the other person knows you, so that they understand that you are being sarcastic & what you are saying is not meant as a completely unapologetic smart remark.

I was told by an excellent psychiatrist several years ago that sarcasm is just another form of anger. Anger that is expressed differently of course, but anger just the same.
