A few nights ago I asked a series of questions about socialism, it was obvious that not a single one who answered negatively bothered to look at my previous questions or answers to know where I stand. Answers 87 Agreed with 45 Disagreed with 42, several of these answered all or most questions Of those who responded negatively Bashed me, the freedom of speech, or the question 30 Argued for socialism 12 Stated they were socialist 2 Stated they were democrat 2 Had an intelligent answer 3 Defended democrats/liberals and were against socialist takeover of the party 1 Overwhelmingly 75% did not want me stating the obvious and would restrict my right to freedom of speech, a very socialistic way of doing things. 12 argued for socialism but did not identify their affiliation, democrat or whatever. These were one off answers so it appears that about 50% think socialism is a fine way to run AMerica. only 2 admitted being socialist, which shows the small number of honest people who answered.

Can I please make a point to all those arguing against evolution?

There is more proof for evolution than the theory of the heliocentricity of the solar system. Evolution HAS been observed with the creation of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and pesticide resistance. New species of Mosquito have been observed to develop in the London Underground. These are facts. So noone can say that evolution is false today, false in the near-past or false in the future.

From my point of view you may only argue about whether God is directing evolution or not, or if most creatures today, whose evolutionary paths cannot be traced entirely, were created by a god or not. Otherwise you are being ignorant of the realities of the modern world.

Do you agree? Why (not)?

I have a '77 standard Beetle, and wanted to avoid buying anything to lower the front. I know that it is possible to lower the rear by pulling the spring plates off the torsion bars and rotating them one or two splines, and it seems that one should be able to do the same with the front torsion bars. Any ideas?

Obviously the scope needs to be balanced so that it moves freely (on the German equatorial [G.E.] mount) about both the R.A. and dec. axis (pl. form?), but I don't know much more than that. My instructional manual talks about how to balance the reflecting telescope in R.A. and in dec. (though I could use a little clarification on their instructions) but it does NOT explain why you would put the telescope in either of these positions. I understand that R.A. involves moving the scope around the polar axis, and declination allows you move away from the center of the sky's rotation (practically centered on Polaris) to any star in the sky, except when the tripod gets in the way. How do we balance the scope in each position, and why do we choose one over the other?

Bonus question: With a smaller weight and a larger weight, how are each used in the balancing process and is it okay to switch the weights with the scope still attached to the mount?

I am looking for a spy/adware blocker that a; really works, b; is really free and c; isn't a blind leader to other products. I use Norton (yawn...) regularly but now seem to have picked something up that when I go into Google, click on one of the many 'matches' and instead I get something completely different, ususlly a top 100 of something or other. I guess I could do with something to give my system a good 'clean up' too? (I do use Window washer). Any help gratefully received, Thanks.
