How about start with a temporary tattoo? Draw one on with marker -- see how you feel in a few weeks. One thing is for sure -- if you are trying to win him back, this is not the way. He'll just think you're nuts.

Why, ex means ex. You don't want a permanent memory of a past boyfriend/friend. Everytime you look it, you will have the memory, good or bad, but it will be there for LIFE. Wrong move. Get on with your life, there are other fish in the sea, and life will give you someone else. I'm sure they would not want to see a tat of someone else's name on our body. How do you think your future husband would feel seeing Sam or whoever on your wrist. Keep him in your memory, if you must
but forget the body art.

Just came across your question and wanted to respond. Having someone hold a special place is your heart is phenomenal and no one can ever take that away from you. You say that you will NEVER get back together so why not keep him in your heart and save the space on your body for you...it's called loving yourself or having positive self-esteem! I have a friend who recently removed a tatoo of her x. She met someone new and wanted to move on which is what I suggest that you do..don't sleep on this on...ease on down the road as they said in the Wiz. Good luck!

No have you ever thought about how he would feel, or what if you get a new man, how do you think he will feel have his love tattooed with someone Else's name on their body. NO!! You may think it is a good thing but later you will regret it. MOVE ON.

no. even if your really gr8 mates now he could do something to hurt u in the future and then ur stuck with his name stuck on u. plus how do u think future boyfriends r gonna feel if u have ur ex-boyfriends name on ur wrist. its not worth the risk

if it's one of those washable tatoos then sure go for it but if it's real don't he might think ur still falling for and he might get creeped out
