Christians and mostly muslims hate homosexuals and call them sinners. They justify their hate by using their outdated religious texts.

modern science and new consciousness tells us that homosexuality is not only a normal trait among some humans, but that it has to be respected and even honored.

but i also need to stress that these very same religious texts that brands gays as evil also justifies pedophilia, polygamy, rape and the oppression of women.

i ask you this,

when will religious people take a deep look at their so called holy books and realize that they have outlived their meaning?

most of the things that religious books justify are now considered evil, and most of what religious books brand as evil are now considered good.

Dont you think its time religious people embrace this new consciousness?

My husband and I are expecting our first child. We have chosen the first name of Mitchell for a boy, and our last name is Alexander. Therefore the child's name will be Mitchell (middle name) Alexander. We need help finding a cool middle name. We do not want something that is a typical name-- like Robert or Bradley, because my husband claims that we don't want to curse the kid with "three first names".

My husband jokingly said that we need to use a random word; and suggested "Volcano". I think this is pretty stupid, but as we begin continuously joking about it, it is actually sounding more and more appealing. We imagine the kid being proud of his wierd middle name, especially since the child might have red hair. Well, anyway...

What better suggestions do you have for a middle name?

I can think of nothing worse than leaving home and abandoning my parents to old age in some God-forsaken Home for the Elderly (although I appreciate that many are nice and that the staff are in most cases very hard working and selfless individuals).

Why does this seem to be the case in modern western thinking? I can think of very little that is more sinful than forgetting your debts and where you came from, but this is only my personal opinion and I realise many will not share this view.

When and how did things change? I know it goes against nature's constructs to care for your parents as they grow old, but it just seems the the right thing to do, making sure those who did so much to bring you up are comfortable when they find it getting harder to look after themselves; when my grandfather was ill he moved in with us, and my father didn't let our small house, poor wage, full-time employment or children get in the way.

Is it just me that thinks like this?

Thanks!

I just made reservations for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort last night for next weekend (May 18, 19, 20) and I wanted to know anyones opinion on the actual resort. We go to Disney every year, and will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside for a week in Sept, but we have never stayed at Coronado. Also, I know there will be crowds, any advice on crowds too will be helpful. Thanks friends.

I was afraid that due to a seriously massive blood transfusion in the seventies... I may have contracted Hepatitis C... and passed it to my youngest Asperger Syndrome son... born six years later.

The implications of a test to find out were so bad for so long... I dare not go to find out... then Anita Roddick came out with her test recently... and sadly... her positive result... having had a transfusion at a similar time to me... long before screening in the UK... way before Hep C and HIV was known.

My ex feared for his job... our mortgage and our life insurances as well... should I pursue the test... so... I didn't.

My son was seriously ill with double pneumonia not long ago and it went to his liver... again... I beat myself up... was it my fault? Had I passed Hep C to him from unsceened blood... it can sit for decades in the system before affecting anyone.

My test results came back neagtive today... I am walking on a cloud... I'm free from guilt at last:-)
