Of course not. Other teams have had injury problems including Man Utd when most of their defence was out injured. Chelsea have quite a big squad and nearly all of them are internationals. It was their fault they let Gallas and Huth go without having sufficient cover. As to the players you mention Shev and Ballack have done nothing except pick up huge pay cheques. As to Robben if anyone looks at him the wrong way he goes down injured and is out for weeks. I think he gets injured more from diving than from being tackled. Mourinho has been moaning all season about the lack of penalties awarded to Chelsea. They get a possible 5 against Liverpool and what did they do?

With that line of reasoning so did Watford. Considering they have a small stadium and not much money and considering the injury to King and losing Young to Aston Villa, they deserve to win the quadruple just as much. It's a pity that they have this whole points system in football where you actually get points for winning more games huh? Enjoy your league cup. ;)

since ur blaming injuries for chelsea not getting the quadruple...
arsenal would have won everything if henry was 100% fit any time during the season, RvP was injured for 3/4 of the season, walcott has been injured for 1/2 the season, Rosicky, injured, Hleb, injured, Gallas- injured, Clichy- injured, Eboue- injured, Adebayor, injured and suspended...the list goes on and on...
seriously, man utd were the best team this season, swallow the bitter pill and move on!
chelsea were weak this season, they do not deserve any trophy...not even the Carling Cup...the Arsenal Reserves deserved it....
again...move on

NO.
Im sorry but Chelsea has an id1ot for a manager. He wanted a smaller squad, so he sold defenders like huth and gallas away. The lack of results due to the so called "injury crisis" (which just about every team suffers but doesnt complain about)
is partly due to mourihno himself.

Quadruple? Wow, it's such a great ambition. Probably they were still capable to win treble (Premiership, FA Cup, & League Cup), but to win Champions League is uneasy for 'new kid on the block' like Chelsea. Abramovich may have lots of cash like nothing on earth and Chelsea can buy any player they like to buy, but to win the Champions League, you need experience & good management (I wonder why people say Abramovich will buy trophies with his money; actually even a strong club like Real Madrid cannot do anything with abundant cash). That's why most of the winners on Champions League are clubs with long history & strong winning tradition such as Barcelona, Liverpool, & AC Milan. Even the magnificent Manchester United must learn more to play in Europe. Furthermore, playing in 4 championships is probably to tiring for players (usually in other countries like Italy they only play in 3 championship: local competition, cup, & Champions League/ UEFA Cup). Moreover, EPL games are physically very demanding. No wonder there are not many English clubs have good record in Champions League like Liverpool.
There is another problem for Chelsea. Abramovich allegedly intervened Mourinho's policy too far. Mourinho, although had huge budget to buy player, also bought wrong players. Sheva is the biggest Chelsea's purchase mistake. Probably he'd better go back to AC Milan next season (it's better for Chelsea, for Milan, & for Sheva himself). Another mis-bought players is, probably, Khalid Boulahrouz. Next time Mourinho should think carefully before spending the money. Actually, with the huge amount of money, Mourinho should be capable of creating 2 teams in Chelsea. Let's say, team A play in important matches, and team B play in not-so-important matches.
Anyway, in spite of Mourinho's loud mouth, he deserved some respect. Who else a coach on the earth, having injury problems, having trouble with owner, having made transfer mistakes, could fight in 4 championships until later stages? Even he has won 1 cup, and probably will win one more. Before him, Chelsea had never reached CL's semi-finals before losing in penalty shoot-out. Even Alex Ferguson admitted that Chelsea are the most resilient opponents he has ever met.
