I just made reservations for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort last night for next weekend (May 18, 19, 20) and I wanted to know anyones opinion on the actual resort. We go to Disney every year, and will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside for a week in Sept, but we have never stayed at Coronado. Also, I know there will be crowds, any advice on crowds too will be helpful. Thanks friends.

Coronado Springs is in the "Moderate-Price" resort group, similar to Port Orleans and the Caribbean Beach. It's also designed to be a business conference location. I've not stayed there but toured the property before it opened, and I was impressed. It's typical Disney quality (that's a compliment, by the way).

September's a great time to go. There will be virtually NO crowds there in September. Next weekend attendance should be moderately heavy, but you'll still enjoy it. Take advantage of FastPass, etc.

Have a magical visit!

Coronado Springs is very similiar in size to Port Orleans Riverside, but the lay out is a bit different. It will require some walking if you are in any of the outer buildings or catching one of the buses to the front of the resort.

The quick serve restaurant at Coronado Springs is one of the best, in my opinion, as you have even more variety of choices than at most of the other quick serves. Also, the Maya Grille usually has availability for walk ups if you don't feel like heading out to one of the parks or Downtown Disney for a meal.

As for crowds, avoid which ever park is having Extra Magic Hours that day. That is the park that will have the highest attendance.

It's the newest of all "moderate" hotel/resorts at Disney. It has a great restaurant and offers free bus transportation to the disney parks. I agree with the poster who stated it has the best food court!
I have always enjoyed staying there and think you will like it. They have a good pool to lay out at. I have been there in the summertime and the pool usually isn't being too occupied with families or children so considering spending some time there if you can.

They have the best Food Court of any of the hotels in my opinion! You have so many things to choose from it is overwhelming! It Is called The Pepper Market. You can discover the charm and energy of this open-air market that offers rotisserie chicken, pizza, pasta, burgers and fresh-baked goodies made at our on-site bakery. The hotel pool is fantastic as well with the Aztec temple slide and the tiki bars! They have a GREAT exercise path! I think it is a great hotel! HAve Fun!
