My grandchildren are whom I am willing to fight hard and long for. They had been taken from my daughter in Oregon and placed in foster care. As soon as I found out, I called DHS and told them I wanted to help. They wouldn't return my calls.
The next thing I had heard was they were back home with my daughter. We had had a terrible falling out, so my daughter didn't call me for a very long time. I was still so very happy they were all back together.
In December of last year, my son called and told me my grandchildren had been placed for adoption with the initial foster parents (multi-millionaires)! No one from DHS called me. They broke so many laws!
I got way involved, got a lawyer, contacted every government official, etc., and the final adoption proceedings have been stopped! My husband and I are moving back to Oregon next week, DHS is giving us the "option" of adopting our grandchildren, and as a result of this nightmare, my daughter and I have reunited.
It's going to be a long battle, but I won't ever give up! Annie
