This past Saturday was Free Comic Book Day and I was lucky enough to have one of my favorite comic book mini series signed by the artist and writer. My question is, besides Free Comic Book Day, which only happens once a year, how can I get the artist's and writer's autograph for my other comics?

I'm stuck on a particular problem and was wondering if anybody could help me out...

1. Let "x" be a random variable that represents the level of glucose in the blood (milligrams per deciliter of blood) after a 12-hour fast. Assume that for people under 50 years old, "x" has a distribution that is approximately normal with mean = 85 and estimated standard deviation = 25. A test result "x" < 40 is an indication of severe excess insulin, and medication is usually prescribed.

a. What is the probability that, on a single test, "x" < 40?
b. Suppose a doctor uses the average x-bar for two tests taken about a week apart. What can we say about the probability distribution of x-bar? What is the prob. that "X" < 40?
c. Repeat part b for n=3 tests taken a week apart.
d. Repeat part b for n = 5 tests taken a week apart.


I'd really appreciate it if you could help out. I've asked all my other classmates and searched the web but had no luck.

My boyfriend and I recently purchased a Gold Nugget after our large pleco died and he was the last one to die in my recent
"Fish tank crisis" What had happend was i started a bigger fish tank and i didnt have any god baceteria in it adn my fish started to all die. Well i let my tank cycle and we have new fish in the tank and they have been there for id say about 3 weeks. No deaths... everything is fine. So while we were out shopping around we found the gold nugget and he was doing GREAT he wasnt being shy or anything. Well we've been busy the past few days and havent really been paying any attention to the fish (sitting and staring at it for an hour lol) as we usually do. So we didnt notice a change in him except our 2 irredescent sharks and our paroon shark started showing signs of Ich. So i took the carbon filter out, put my ich stuff in, put the carbon filter back in the next day, did a 25% water change, then put more ich stuff in there. Well, this morning i noticed my fish tank

Creationists are always clamoring about how they have evidence for "intelligent design" and evidence contradicting evolution. Well here is your chance, show it to me. What is your evidence? I want links to websites (I would prefer peer reviewed papers). I want hard science, no reference to faith or the bible, or any holy book for that matter. That form of closed reasoning does not answer anything. For those who do not know what that is, here is an example:

Theist: "The bible is true"

Atheist: "How do you know"

Theist: "The bible says the bible is true"

Atheist: "Wow"

See if you could do what Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron could not. What is your evidence?

Changed the filter sending units was good,, looked good, ,was fine before the pump died. i Put on a new fuel pump. Made sure everthing was tight no leaks. it will run if i gas it slowly but when i hit it it gets stutering and hesitating. I do not see how changng a fuel pump would damage a tranny or plug the cataletic converter. The truck ran very well before the change. any ideas Thanks
