Seeing that most of our politicians in America (the President being an obvious exception) are smart people, why have we never had a major political leader who did not say that they believed in god??? I'm sure at least a good number of our politicians must be atheistic, but is seems that an atheist can't get elected to office in our modern world. My only explanation is that all of the atheistic and non-religious politicians are being forced to lie perpetually to keep their jobs. This is a major problem on its own. In addition, is anyone else concerned at how all our politicians seem to share the same narrow religious viewpoint, and that all perspectives within our government are coming from a religious basis? When are we going to get some true diversity in office???

I'm trying to find more information on why the Irish had such a hatred towards Britain for so long. I know there were many instances, and I'm happy to get any information I can, but I'm especially interested in the ealier "feuds" rather than the latter. But like I said any and all pertinent information is helpful!

I know the skater look is in - my son has been growing his hair out and its driving me crazy - he's so good looking and now it's getting to the point where you can hardly see his face. I know he loves it and I don't have the heart to just chop it off myself. . Any suggestions on getting him to cut it or should I just let him ride out this phase? He's 12.

This one's all over the news, guys. What do you think?

I believe he should be welcomed with open arms, because that is what Jesus would want us to do. We are all sinners, and God's love and Jesus' blood covered all sins who were confessed and asked for forgiveness by a sincere follower of Christ.

I think he should be watched like a hawk around the children, but to not allow him in the church is to reject the very basis that the church was founded upon.

Such as ladders and etc.

If you let them borrow it, the next thing you know, they'll be
asking to borrow your lawnmower, weed-whacker, etc.

But then if you don't let them borrow it, you set a reputation
of being that selfish neighbor.

Personally, I don't see nothing wrong with being selfish when
you own the goods and don't want anybody else to touch it.
They might damage it and not tell you about it. And then the
next time you use it, it doesn't work.

Would you go back and accuse them of breaking your
goods?

Here's how I see it:

If you paid good money for that ladder and worked your butt
off for it, nobody should have the right to borrow it from you.

It's yours!

But something like this can actually spoil the bonds of being
good neighbors to each other. It would form a bridge of hatred.

What do you guys normally do in situations like these?

The Night of Jesus Arrest

Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

Notice the last verse here?

As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

To me it is really upsetting when a woman tells me they don't want to have children. Usually the top answers are they don't want to deal with them, they don't want to go through the pain of labor, the world is 'too evil' now of a place to bring children into it, or that it would interfere with their career. These all are very selfish reasons. If women have the capabilities to have children, they should. I know some women are barren and cannot but to the majority that can, it is their job to help populate the earth. Everyone if these women's lives are due to childbirth and without childbirth, there would be no people to love and no one to obey the Holy Commandments. For a woman to choose to make herself 'barren' is a disgrace to womanhood. What's even worse is now women that do not want children can have them destroyed by abortion. All these terrible things are seen by God and the cries of the children being aborted will make it all the way to the throne of God.
