At sixteen, most kids should take what they can get.
Keep in mind insurance rates, gasoline costs, and property tax.
If you are not footing the bill, the sky's the limit. Lincoln Navigator and the Cadillac Escalade are premium vehicles -most likely leather equipped.

It depends. You didn't say, new, or used, year?Safety is one of the most important things to take into consideration when purchasing a vehicle, especially for an inexperienced driver. I would suggest that you go to (iihs) insurance institute for highway safety's web site and check the safety ratings on all the suvs and pick only from the ones that did well in the tests. That should narrow it down some.

Toyota 4runners are big, and safe, and high up. They look cool, have lots of room if you want to ride friends around, and I know for a fact they can be gotten with leather seats, my ex had one. Fully loaded is the limited edition.

peace.

I have a jeep myself fully loaded w/ black leather seats. it is really easy to navigate. but some models have a high rollover rate. The Ford escape is a smaller size SUV but it has plenty of room for a teenager and his/her friends too.

Hundai Santa Fe is pretty nice.

I really don't know what you're looking for.

SUV is a wide category.
And I'm pretty sure all of them come with the option of leather seats so that doesn't help at all.

I agree with Horndog.

16 year olds shouldn't be allowed to drive. They need to finish growing up and get their head screwed on tight and finish HS first.
