***The following, is a response, that I received to one of my Posts, concerning the Pride I get by shaking the hand of Our Brave Military** It read, in part:
"I guess I'm gonna piss a few off with my answer. I am a Vietnam Veteran. I wish I could go back into The Army and do my part. But I'm past my prime.
This is for those whoe think Our Military Hereos, are being taken advantage of. By keeping them in Iraq. Guess what, People? They aren't ready to come home, because the Job isn't finished. They belive in what they're doing. Our Soldiers are not about to turn tail and run. Unless they are pulled out by our Government.
In Vietnam, we didn't get the Job done. Because of that, myself, and many others. Don't have closure But War, itself, is personal. Causes of War is Political, in many cases. But War, itself is personal.
Forget Poliics! And support our Courageous Men & Women who are in Uniform.

"Should'nt we turn the tables on the lost?" Please take the time if you can and read my "p.s." remarks in my answer. (one of the last ones). My concern is Biblestudents07 comment in his Best Answer comment about "the Lord knows how to make grape jelly". And the whole "tone" of his question. Is this how we should be representing our Lord? Whatever happened to compassion for the lost. Even "Bull Horn" in his best answer remarks, "if it offends them, so what?" Has it come down to Christians "gleefully chortaling" because people are on their way to hell?. If so, God Help Us.

I hate it when people say 'I could of' instead of 'I could have'. it drives me barmy. Also hate when people run words together like 'alot' or 'thankyou'. Any more examples out there?

Look at any map of education demographics (highest level of education achieved) and you'll clearly see that "conservative" areas have the highest level of high school drop outs and "democratic" areas have the highest levels of college graduates. Coincidence?

I want surprise my groom with his own groom cake. I'm not sure what I want to go with. He's a police officer, he loves motorcycles, fishing, and music. I want the cake to be primarily all chocolate... He likes chocolate... I don't want anything fancy with fruit (as is tradition with groom cakes, I know the background). He's also big into family, and yes I know this is obvious but he's pretty fond of me. He's very romantic so I want this to be something he won't forget. Any ideas? I already have a few other surprises for him. For instance I found a garter with tiny handcuffs on it and a few other small surprises to incorporate into the day to make it special for him also, but I want the cake to really be great. So, I'm ready for ideas! OH I can't spend a fortune, we've agreed to spend as little as possible in order to go on a awesome honeymoon so under $50 for a topper would be great.

i've been thinking of a stargate and 24 crossover. the asgard who's a dying race needs 24 hours to get back some technology they need to save their race. this technology if misused could destroy a whole galaxy. they materialize jack bauer straight from the show because they know he's good( and he doesn't know he's an actor). he materializes in a holding cell not knowing he's in an asgard ship. and then the asgard teleports sg-1 into the ship and tells them to debrief jack about the situation but not tell him he's not a real person and only a copy of a tv show character. jack thought it was like the most ridiculous interrogation he's ever had and tries to get away, and surprisingly, was even able to subdue Teal'c. he gets out of the room and was shocked in seeing the ship with earth visible outside. he wanders around and ran into some naked asgard. he's like "what the hell, I'm definitely not in chinese prison anymore". He realizes sg-1 is telling the truth and agrees to help.
