There are many different theories... this is just one of them.
Barr McClellan, father of White House press secretary Scott McClellan and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Mark McClellan, released a 480-page book by Hannover House (Remember 'The Wink')that offers photographs, copies of letters, insider interviews and details of fingerprints as proof that Edward A. Clark, the powerful head of Johnson's private and business legal team and a former ambassador to Australia, led the plan and cover-up for the 1963 assassination in Dallas.

Good morning!...No LBJ wasn't the criminal here, he was a "victim of circumstance". The assassination of JFK was the doing of our whole Gov. system, a conspiracy in my way of thinking. And if by chance it wasn't our own Gov. then I suspect it was possibly the Greek mafia since Onassis was having an affair with Jackie. It wasn't a secret. JFK was having an affair with Marilyn and Jackie with Onassis. Onassis just took it to a higher level. This will really never be solved. Our Gov. has a policy on lying so take it from there. Have a great day!

LBJ was a pawn. He no doubt was aware of the possibility in advance (LBJ was smart). But the Vice President is not #2 when it comes to power - simply not a "button man" with the power to kill the President. The people responsible for the assassination, knew that LBJ would help the interested parties.
I highly doubt that JFK ordered his own assassination. He was in pain for most of his life. Why would he choose to kill himself, in the prime of his life, 2 years into his first term as president.

As the years go by we seem to be stumbling upon more theories as to who shot JFK. One person even suggested that he arranged his own assassination, because he was not a very well man, and had to get lots of treatments and take a whole battery of drugs to sustain that vim and vigour that were attributed to him. There are some that believe that he wouldn't have survived his first term, assassination or no. Me, I think that Oswald did it, he may have been put up to it, but he did it.
