It depends on the question. If it's asking for facts then i'll answer if I know it. If it's an opinion that being asked for, then I think about it for a second before answering.

a bit of both, I answered a question that asked to name a food with each letter of the alphabet, it took awhile but I could not come up with a food for X , sometimes the answers require very little thought like "What time is it where you live?

i don't think about the answer much usually i know exactly what i'm going to write since i answer in P&S only and questions here don't require that much thinking.....=)

If it's a serious question, with a serious problem, I take my time to think about the advice I would give. If it's a silly or inane one, I just type whatever pops into my head first. :)
