Hello,
I need you to be a bit more specific in your question. Are you asking if there is a cure for polio or are you asking if it is harder for a person with polio or post polio to get over other illnesses?
1. There is no cure for polio, and it effects each person differently.
2. It depends on what stages of polio or post polio you are suffering from regarding another illness. In both cases I would say that since your body is weakened it may be harder for you to recover from most things compared to a normal healthy person.
I am not a medical professional and if you have a specific question you may wish to find one in your area. If you wish to know more about polio and post polio please look at our website http://.www.ippso-world.org and you will not only find many answers to your questions thru medical articles, a list of doctors, etc., but you will find a bulletin board where you can post questions about polio and post polio and you will get answers from many people.
The International Post Polio Support Organization was founded in 2001 and we are here to help you. If you would like to correspond with me feel free, that is what we are here for.
Sincerely,
Shari Fiksdal, Co-Founder & Acting President

Not sure what you mean. A person who had Polio, sorry no known cure, but they should be treated as being a normal Human. Unfortunately, they might succumb later in life to 'post-polio' syndrome, but we hope not.
