Close to all of them were tortured bruttally by the Romans. And then why did the thousands upon thousands submit to the brutal tortures prepared for them? Why didn't they all just say, "Sorry, my mistake, guess I was wrong. "Under the emperor Decius many persecutions arose against the name of Christ, and there was such a slaughter of believers that they could not be numbered." Can you give me a real possible answer that is serious. (They weren't all "crazy", that isn't even trying. This isn't made up, because Roman documents and different things not written by Christians confirm this. Hey, just look at the Colleseum.)
