While eating a sandwich? Yikes. I think your gums are too swollen. I'm always told to brush my gums more thoroughly, because the brushing will make them stronger and then they'll bleed less. You could also try using a softer toothbrush (or a non-electric toothbrush) or a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. But if it doesn't work after a week or two, maybe go to the dentist, because he/she might be able to give you better tips.

Theres a superior probability that you've gingivitis.. information to keep your gums from bleeding is flossing on a daily basis and use mouth wash. What happends is nutrition receives lodged between your teeth and once you dont floss it receives up into your gums. The nutrition will develop into micro organism and makes your gums very tender. So bleeding occurs every time you sweep. Flossing wide-spread and using mouth wash will decrease your bleeding and help you've universal solid hygiene.

See a dentist. You may have gum disease. It cannot be treated on your own. But because gum disease is so common, there are several treatments your dentist can prescribe to control it. Healthy gums do not bleed. They will be the experts that come up with a personalized program for you. Good luck!

Floss floss floss....make sure that you floss morning and night and then rinse after with scope and after about a week or so you will be fine. Your gums sounds like they are inflammed and you don't want that. If you keep it up it will just get worse. You need to get to the point where you can floss daily without having any bleeding.

rinse with warm salt water until you can get to the dentist. You need to go have a good cleaning. They can also prescribe you an oral mouth rinse to help kill the bacteria and tighten the gums.
