My friend and I was just messing around during recess at my school and I kicked a basketball that was on the floor and I meant to kick it away from the court so everyone would be after it but instead it hit my friend in his eye. He said that for 10 seconds he couldn't see anything but otherwise its fine. He also said that it feels like there is sunburn there and by looking at it his eye only got red (not a little but not alot) and it only puffed up a little.
So is he going to be O.K.? What could be the worst thing that will happen? This was a really bad accident.

I've had worse. It might be a little bruised, but I don't think he's going to go blind. After all, he said it is fine.

I am sorry to hear about your accidental injury to your friend. He needs to see an eye doctor now. He could have a significant injury to his retina. Left untreated, that can lead to permanent vision damage. Make sure he sees a doctor now.

I suggest your friend sees an eye specialist-he could have gotten a corneal abrasion and he needs appropriate treatment. Better safe than sorry.

well he can be allright but in the worst cases you coud have hit him in a nerve thats very bad also you could have borken his cornea i got a friend got himself witha a soft air gun in his eye he broke his cornea he needs a trasplant also he is not able for now to do any exercice

Perhaps the worst that will hppen is that he'll get a black eye. Still, it's better to have an adult look at it and decide what to do. Be careful next time.
