Here it goes...:-)
A traveler sets out to cross a desert. On the first day, he covers 1/10 of the journey; on the 2nd day, he goes 2/3 of the distance traveled the first day. He continues on in this manner, alternating the days on which he travels 1/10 of the distance still to be covered, with days on which he travels 2/3 of the total distance already covered. At the end of the seventh day he finds that 22 1/2 miles more will see the end of his journey.
How wide is the desert?
