Wireless communications (the electric and magnetic fields in an electromagnetic wave)

Air purifiers (by using an electric field to trap particulate matter in the air)

Any industry that uses electricity or light or magnetism in any way, shape or form uses electromagnetism. So the answer is, all of them.

Transformers, none of which are so called simple design. In the chain , the first is power (single freq), next is audio. these are difficult to do as you have to juggle power , linearity,freq response,insertion loss...and make it reliable. third probably, the pulse trans,plus allthe derivations of same. Next are the field and armature windings for motors. any electronic or electrical mfr. it all applies.
