Well, basically, I am about to graduate college and since I'm leaving I wanted to send some letters to a couple of my guy friends letting them know that they have been really great friends and I appreciate their friendship. Do you think I should send the letters or am I just wasting my time? Do you think this would freak them out, or would they appreciate it? Also, I don't want to cause any drama with their girlfriends or make their girlfriends jealous or anything...It's not like I'm writing these guys love notes or anything, but I'm still a little aprehensive. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

Do you think that the reason America is unable to solve any of its greatest problems today is because of the lack of citizen participation? Did those of us who are in our 20's,30's and 40's grew up with to much of a "silver spoon" so that we are unable or unwilling to stand up to our govt. on issues that acctually matter(the war, health care, enviroment, employment).... We missed out on the greatest debates and changes in our countries recent history ie. civil rights, womens lib, vietnam.. because we were either children or unborn.... so has the lack of confrontation with our govt through out our lives left us stagnent in the way we deal with it? thoughts?

Seriously, whenever anyone mentions Muslims there's at least one "all Muslims are terrorists, they are our enemy" comment, and then there's this enormous "threat" posed by illegal immigrants from south of the border.

I find it amazing that this xenophobia seems to cut across all religions, socio-economic levels - even education levels, which is the scariest part.

Is there something in the American psyche which "needs" something to fear?

Obviously I don't mean ALL Americans, but a heckova lot from what I've seen here.

Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, is literally on my doorstep. Indonesians live in overcrowded poverty, under restrictive military regimes. Yet here I sit on this vast, prosperous island with an enormous, largely unguarded coastline. If anyone should feel threatened by invasion or illegal immigrants it's me.

Yet I don't feel threatened.

Am I brave, stupid,

I am truely shocked by the questions on here which show an absolute lack of any knowledge on the basic care of a persons pets.
I am all in favour of a test to show you understand how to care for the animal before being allowed to take a pet home, where it's health and well being rests solely on your knowledge and understanding.
When re-homing my bunnies, I provide care sheets to refer to, samples of feeds, useful websites and my contact details should they have any other questions, as well as thoroughly questioning the new owners so that I know they will give my bunnies a good and happy home. Should pet stores be made to do the same?

Why is Muhamamd not in agreement with the word of God and the prophets?Moses taught the tree of life. Abraham that the lord would provide himself a lamb. Isaiah that the Messiah would be a Savior for his people. John the Baptist that Jesus was the lamb of God. Jesus taught he must fufill the prophesies of Isaiah and that no man comes to the Father but throught he Son.

in a basement section under my garage. I am not sure what to do! I have heard one kitten meowing when the queen leaves the nest to eat in my mudroom (about 40 feet away from her nest) but I don't know how many kittens she had, or if they are well or not, if they are warm enough, or even if they are safe from all the other stray toms in the neighborhood. Since I started feeding her about 2 months ago, I noticed she seemed to be growing bigger and I realized she was pregnant. She eats several times a day, and generally goes back to her nest after eating, but I am worried about the kitten/s, being in a cold basement, with this winter storm, and worried about what I should do in the future with them. I don't want to let them be feral, but I am afraid if I try and go into the basement to see them when the mother is off on her wanderings, then she will smell me on them if I touch them to try and socialize them, and then she will move them somewhere more unsafe. Pls help! What should I do?

"And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our God and your God is One, and unto Him we surrender."

Qur'an 29:46

So. Ever argued with any of the people of the scripture? *snickers*
