After being laid off 10 months ago, I have found it near to impossible to exercise or eat right. While I don't feel overtly depressed, I've never had a life change quite like this. I've gained 25 pounds and become a couch potato! I should mention that I was already about 65 lbs overweight and losing before this happened! Instead of working the typical 2 jobs I used to do, I now am working less hours and loving it more. But I feel discombubulated! And worried. Because of the weight gain, I know that my blood pressure is up and I worry about that. Recent blood tests indicated that my cholesteral has risen and that my blood sugar is on the line to becoming "concerning". And yet, I can't seem to get my head into changing anything. Also, I should add that I'm pre-menopausal and struggling with those symptoms as well. Any suggestions would be great!

I heard this rumor that in 1947 returning wwii vets were honored by allowing some of them to play professional baseball for one season. This was suspose to be called "the 26th man" but I can not find any reference to it anywhere.

"Ready for anything"

(or something along those lines).

It can be any language at all - I'm trying to find which language I like the look of most for a tattoo.

(And no, this isn't a spur of the moment decision - I'm putting a lot of thought into it and won't get inked until I know 100% what I want)

I live in an 1850's building with a fireplace in the basement and first floor. I am using the one in the basement. Usually it is working fine, but when I stir it, or if I put another log on it, the smoke stops going up the flu and billows out into my apartment, filling it with smoke. This goes on for about 15 to 20 minutes until it corrects itself. Why does it do this? It is like the flu is closed, but it is clearly not, I have looked up in and I can see that it is fine. How do I stop this from happening?

drinking milk... I was on American Idol and during the time, I was drinking milk the first part of it and I sounded good... I stopped because I read it was bad and eventually my voice was sounding horrible and bad. so of course I got kicked off... After I did I started drinking milk again and I sound like I did when I was first on the show... also when I drink water it does not really help my singing it makes me sound scratchy... Milk seems to be the best thing for me =\... Is there any reason this could be? ( I drink like 1 gallon every 3 days or less.. my diet consists of Oatmeal, cereal and Peanut butter XD ) ... so maybe my vocal chords need it? well thanks for the help.

Dishwasher does not clean dishes well. It seems like it doesn't get enough water or pressure in the upper tray.

Yesterday my dad told me & my mum that every night he has like visions of death and corpses laid in coffins. He said hes seen my mum, my brother, our dog and his dad in seperate visions all in coffins dead but hes not seen me and his mum. I have a feeling this is because he is not as close to us. But he says he can't avoid thinking about it because its subconcious and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what the cause could be or some explanation? It sounds really weird to me so thought I'd ask about it as you guys are all helpful. Also a neighbour who lived near to us died recently and he had a vision of her laid in a coffin yet he never even saw her coffin. it freaked me out.

I would like the opportunity to learn about different people and where they live etc. I think it is wonderful experience to see peoples' countries/islands from their eyes.

I was at Rite-Aid,and My mom asked me to buy her some Buckleys Cough Compressant, and they couldent sell it to me,because I was underage(Im 17)and you have to be 18+ so they were like whats your DOB and I said 7/28/90 and shes like,we cant sell it to you because people were making Crystalmeth out of it,and Im like Do I Really,Look like a Crystalmeth addict, with my hair as well intact as it is,and I look this good?!So,I told my mom,and she called them and were like What the hell is your damn problem!?They were like we cant sell it because of underage people were making Crystalmeth out of it,so,this other lady was like, she has a black son-in-law,so shes not racist. So my question is,was that a Racist move, because she saw some black guy,who has Dreds and looks like he's a drug addict. And also,I dont think I would have had to go through that accusation if I was a white person(No Affence). So Was this a racist affence?
