I was at Rite-Aid,and My mom asked me to buy her some Buckleys Cough Compressant, and they couldent sell it to me,because I was underage(Im 17)and you have to be 18+ so they were like whats your DOB and I said 7/28/90 and shes like,we cant sell it to you because people were making Crystalmeth out of it,and Im like Do I Really,Look like a Crystalmeth addict, with my hair as well intact as it is,and I look this good?!So,I told my mom,and she called them and were like What the hell is your damn problem!?They were like we cant sell it because of underage people were making Crystalmeth out of it,so,this other lady was like, she has a black son-in-law,so shes not racist. So my question is,was that a Racist move, because she saw some black guy,who has Dreds and looks like he's a drug addict. And also,I dont think I would have had to go through that accusation if I was a white person(No Affence). So Was this a racist affence?

Why do some people always want to play the race card? It was not the best way to put it, but it doesn't sound racist. If you were white, you STILL wouldn't have gotten it.

"I have a black son-in-law" wtf does that mean, that she cant be racist? I think alot of people who are racist always use idiotic excuses like that. Anyway, there is no true way to know whats in the hearts of people but when they say "I have black son in law" that makes me believe they are because what if you did not have the black son in law? OK, so are you the black guy with locks or not? kinda confused there. She may be a dyke and hate men, she may hate people who wear the color orange, so who really knows? Being younger, I know there is alot you maybe have not seen, and I will tell you this, there are alot of good and alot bad. Racism is Alive and Kicking so educate yourself, be better, and treat people the way they treat people the way you want to be treated, No Matter Race. Also, donot look to Y/A for answers about race, alot of ppl will tell you that you are overreacting(not that you MAY BE) but that YOU ARE. I'm sorry for you any negativity you may have felt.

It's not their job to decide who "looks like a drug addict". It's their job to follow the rules. While cold and cough medicine may be useful to most people, there are some idiots that used it for the wrong reason and made it tougher for everyone.
Someone's alway got to muck it up for everyone else.
And it really wasn't fair of you to pull the racist card. The employee was just doing her job.

I'm white and much older than you. I don't look like a drug addict. I still have to follow the rules when buying my decongestant. It's not racist. It's the law.

People need to stop thinking about everything in terms of race or we'll never get passed it.

I can't say for sure but most places don't sell certain over-tyhe-counter meds to minors. She could face a fine or loose her job for doing so, and she needs a valid ID/DL to punch in the DOB on her register. I use to work at a CVS and I had to do the same, but she didn't have to say the whole Crystalmeth deal. It was like she was implying that you do it.

My mom thinks i'm an offbeat unfastened spirit... with extra self belief than she ever had... She thinks I gown strangely... and she or he thinks my artwork is the perfect every physique has ever carried out... and that i understand she thinks i'm a staggering mom myself! She does not consistently like me or my possibilities... yet She consistently loves me! Peace.

There was no racism involved. I am 38 years old, and when I buy beer at the supermarket, it doesn't matter if you are black or white, they ask for my i.d. Makes perfect sense to me! Did you know, they can get fired and their licenses revoked if they don't ask and sell to somebody underaged??
Tell your mom, it was ok not to sell you the medicine.
Peace!

I'm white and I get carded before I buy cough medicine all the time. When my kids were sick last month, I stopped in at Wallgreen's to get medicine for them and they wouldn't sell it to me because I'd forgot my ID at home. It's not because you're black.
