Ok, I get it. I've seen the twin paradox, I've seen the ladder paradox, I know how to calculate time dilation and contraction and composition of velocities, etc. etc. But a few hours ago the question again popped into my mind: why does special relativity happen?

I'm sure it has something to do with the speed of light being constant, but my head's been spinning for hours and I can't figure it out. Can someone sum it up for me or at least put me on the right track?

Okay,so I'm a 13 year old vegetarian and have been since January.YAY!!! Anyways.I don't eat beans,except like in spanish rice and stuff like that.But black beans and black eyed peas are gross to me.I'm kinda slow (not really) just cause I can't swallow pills,which means,I can't swallow vitamins.Now finally for the question,what are some ways that I can get enough protein in my diet since I'm SUCH a picky eater? My mom just thinks I should eat meat again,but I WON'T EVER eat meat again. Don't suggest nuts,I already know they have protein and I eat them.It gets nasty/boring after awhile.I was wondering if someone knew any recipies or different ways to get protein.

I have a strong belief that I am in the friend zone with this one girl I like. I just really don't know what to do. I mean I don't want to completely ignore her, even though that may be the only way to get out of the friend zone? She goes to school out of state and I've only known her for 4 months, but the thing is, it seems like we talk very often. She is a big fan of texting and is usually the one who always texts me first, I take time and text her back, but I still text her back. I don't want to stuck as an "intellectual whore" I'm sure you have all heard. She won't talk on the phone with me, and when we hung out during her break it was fun, you know, coffee, laughs, smiles, good eye contact and even two hugs, even though the 1st one was a "half-hug". But she texted me later that night saying she was glad that we hung out and wanted me to go to visit her at her college. I don't know if I should go or not because I am afraid if I go, I will be viewed still as a "friend". I hate this.

Since right handed batters don't need to turn around after hitting the ball do they have a slight speed advantage?

I'm just curious if I could get into a good University. I'm just taking regular classes in school not failing anything I have A's in most of them. Never decided to take Honor/A.P classes sadly. Do you think I could get accepted to good schools though?

I think she is weird, and takes my laces out too, when she visits just because she thinks its funny. But is she the only odd person who wears keds without laces, or does anyone else do that? Just curious of how odd she is for this?
